FuriousFox46 Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 I'm pretty much taking any excuse to distract from yesterday's heartbreak and off-season seems like a good time to talk about general things like this.I've seen a lot of Derby, Forest, Coventry, Hull, Posh fans etc. mocking us after yesterday. Am I the only one that feels little towards them nowadays. Hating to sound like a Forest fan but anyway, interesting debate.
Leicesterlad96 Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Dont hate them as much as other clubs ie Leeds Forest but certainly don't like them!
Haydos Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 I used to see them as rivals but there's not really been much competition between us over the last 10 years. The last I really remember caring about them is when we drummed them 4-0 in the O'Neil days.
Yojoe36 Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Never really been bothered by them personally. I've never known a Derby fan in my life, so maybe that's a reason. I dunno
Wymsey Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Third option. I have no grudges against them, and most of their fans are alright in general.
FuriousFox46 Posted 13 May 2013 Author Posted 13 May 2013 You do love your rivalry threads don't you? Don't know what you mean!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Not massively bothered by them, mainly because I haven't had to encounter many of their fans and we haven't been on the wrong end of some truly shocking refereeing decisions against them. Long may that continue!
Guest Bilo Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 I dislike them and want to beat them more than most in this division, but their fans don't generally seem as cvntish as Forest fans. With the exception of Mick Philpott of course. I can't say I wish them well but I hardly wish death and pestilence upon them as I do Forest.
bluesbrothers Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Nothing wrong with Derby, really. Personally, if we can shake our shocking luck and go up in the autos next year, I think Clough is building a team which could challenge for the play-offs next year, and I'd like for us to both go up, especially at the Trees' expense, which we all know they would love. I particularly rate Connor Sammon and Ben Davies, and on the whole their fans seem a great deal more intelligent than the ****** at Forest.Although they do lose marks for Mick Philpott being a lifelong fan.
Kitchandro Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 It's hard for me to hate them these days when we usually beat them so easily. They're just a really boring club with a boring team. I used to hate them the most when I was young but although I still enjoy beating them I see them as secondary rivals that don't really piss me off that much.
brockmyster Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Forest, Cov, West Ham, Then Derby, id agree with you tbh
dmayne7 Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Chelsea are still the only club I hate. We don't have any fierce rivalries just rivalries for the sake of it

Voll Blau Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Hate seeing them do better than us. Love beating them. Was bigger for me as a kid in the 90s but still a proper rivalry for me. Would love to have experienced an away day at the Baseball Ground.
dmayne7 Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Aren't all rivalries just for the sake of it? I guess so. I just meant that there's no real bad blood with any of our rivalries now.
