Brighton rumours

IMPO Would rather Di Matteo... but I've a mate who's a Brighton fan reckons local word is Leicester have been sniffing!

That was at Blackpool away and I only had a gram!

Not been on here in a while but have been an avid veiwer of this forum of my beloved LCFC, Hopefully I wont come into contact with too many trolls this time around...

Basically ive seen a chap on here who has given a few very good pieces of information over the last few seasons with pearsons arrival etc etc

And I saw him post about Gus Poyet http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/user/15198-bcfcandrew/

For the record, I love pearson, I think he has created the foundations of a progressive and forward moving club,

Dropping wage budget,

Dropping the egotistical players who think they are bigger than the club!

Bringing in youngsters to put together the 3rd Youngest (I hope this is correct?) Team in the division, with potential premier league players/status

And generally improving performances in the league (BLAH BLAH BAD FEW MONTHS BLAH)

So personally I would like to see Pearson stay and finish the job he started....

HOWEVER! this fate is not in my hands it is in the owners hands, and if they decide pearson is out, unfortunately thats the way it will go...

So It seems silly to not have choices available and be able to say "Yeah i would like him" ...

1. Neil Lennon

2. Gus poyet... I would like either (IF and god forbid he does) nige gets the boot....

I Like the way they manage/play although gus would need a kick up the backside to stop his ego...

3 weeks ago I heard rumours of Neil being looked at but said nothing as rumours are rumours... a week ago (Before SAF retired) Neil was hammered from 33/1 Average 25/1 into 9/4 favourite to take over... a week later he was spotted at watford... Now the everton job is available he has drifted...

But It seems suspicious Gus poyet 2 weeks ago was unpriced for Leicester... then all of a sudden was 33/1 when seemingly loving life in the playoffs with brighton.. now all of a sudden hes been backed from 33/1 into 6/1 last week after his disasterous press conference... now he is 4/6 odds on with stan james (The only bookmaker providing odds)

So maybe the fact the other bookies have taken odds down for a leicester city manager... is he a foregone conclusion or is nigel safe?

Just a heads up aswell.. on the ladbrokes website this made me chuckle...

http://news.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/betting/next-leicester-city-manager-odds

"Kevin keegan"

Either way its another Leicester city merry go round...

Long live pearson I say, but if not, wouldnt mind lennon or poyet!

Lee

pearson is done here! no man management skills and why would you loan out old school players and then put them in the team when sent back!!! point is remember ppl 1 in 16 games thats shocking! no manager would survive that in todays climate....but in all fairness poyet and another rumour on facebook chris powell, brick wall springs into mind!! but im afraid nigel has to go!!!!

;)  Guessing the stadium must be included into that.

Probably all the nationally imported local ales they brought in for each away team.

Sure the stadium must be included in that, but how much did the stadia cost? Surely not £120 million?

How can the clappers have a negative effect? Sour grapes.

It ruins any atmosphere, makes it all very nice and friendly, I would imagine he wanted to creat a more intimidating atmopshere but would have been dissapointed anyway.

I don't see how it stops fans creating an 'intimidating atmosphere' ? If you don't want to use them then don't, but people that normally don't make much noise are instead all making some noise, which increases the overall volume of the atmosphere.

You think a load of families clapping along is intimidating?

If theres a group that want to create an atmosphere then they will be drowned out by the clappers.

I'm sorry but Brighton are a small club.

Their fans have only appeared the last two seasons.

They're a rejuvenated club with lots of potential and pretty of resources. In fact, BHA have a lot of things going for them.

but no, Brighton & Hove Albion are NOT a big club.

I am a Brighton fan but have followed this forum for some time as I find it interesting and entertaining and have family in the East Midlands.

Brighton moved into their new stadium two years ago after 13 years without a proper 'home'. The previous ground at Withdean was an athletics stadium with temporary stands with a total capacity around 8000 which included a non negotiable 'away' stand for around 2000. Accordingly, Brighton only had a capacity of around 6000 hence very low previous attendance figures so it isn't a case of fans appearing in the last two seasons there simply weren't any seats available.

Brighton are not a big club in terms of previous successes but probably are  so on the basis of current attendances.

vicente has described him as the worst manager he has worked with! He's disloyal too and failed with a more experienced squad then Nigel who has finished in the play offs with practically a reserve team! 3rd youngest team in the entire football league! with the majority having there first full season in the championship.  For an enept manager that is one hell of an achievement and players only seem to have good things to say about him! Even Matt Mills in his interview after leaving for bolton saying he had no issues with Nigel and liked the way he was setting the team up for Championship football.  Where as Poyet has left Brighton and Vicente has said he's the worst manager he has worked with!

When put like that it sounds easy , but from the middle of the North Stand I couldn't hear a f**king thing over those clappers and as mentioned on a previous thread it IS a shame because for the match on March 17th it was a very good atmosphere , sadly drowned out by those - Gus is right they shouldn't be used as an excuse for our utter batting collapse second half , his substitution taking off Orlandi should mind.

around the £100 Million mark , obviously we bought in players and started on the training academy paperwork by that point too.

I think he's lost his  (Poyet) head admist all the speculation and media talk , he made his own pressure and I think there's a bit of sour grapes from Vicente - he didn't want to be at the club last season but we initiated our extra year clause on the original contract , which Vicente was less then happy about , Vicente also went AWOL a few times last season and when he DID play he was shocking on occasions. Also some personal rumours about him but would be liable to put them on here.

Not exactly a great time to be an Albion fan , what with Poogate , the 4 lads on trial , Kazengas trial coming up and our uncertain future in terms of the next season , but a lot better then previous decades that's for sure!

Lennon not won an away game since January and Poyet sven style signing Matt Upson,Wayne Bridge,Vicente, ulloh (However you spell it)  He 's not happy with being given £10m to spend in the Championship! How much does he want? Being disloyal, coming out with crap, and a no Plan B Manager.  Both Never filled me with confidence.....

Can't believe we'd be interested in Poyet. Isn't Loyalty sacred in Thailand or something? Or am i thinking somewhere else? Can't see him being popular over there.
