Guest Mee-9 Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Got my english functional skills in like 1 hour wish me luck
welck12 Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 I do not miss exams one bit. Same here. But to be fair sitting in exams near the end looking around at everyone getting really stressed was always good entertainment. Then the minute everyone is outside on the way to the pub the inevitable "what did you put for question 3..." questions. There was always one person who put something completely different and started to kack their pants about it
Hitesh Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 I do not miss exams one bit. I bet if Ian Marshall did an exam you would too!
StanSP Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Being ill 2 days before your first exam fuckin sucks. I find it hard enough to get motivated as it is!
Guest Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Being ill 2 days before your first exam **** sucks. I find it hard enough to get motivated as it is! We can tell
skinnydipper Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 When I took A level English one student went to hand his paper to the examiner at the end but in doing so knocked a bottle of ink all over his script. Shouldn't have used a noncey fountain pen.
Benji Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Last proper academic exams of my life coming up (law school is practical) and my god can I be anymore excited at the prospect of it being over. Company law on wednesday, here's hoping for nice questions. Good luck everyone, horrible time of the year.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Just had my last exam of the year. How sweet it is to done by May! Actually went surprisingly well, considering how awful I am at poetry as a rule. Wasn't looking forward to two hours on Heaney and Swift but the poems were on the subjects I felt most comfortable on. Lucky bugger that I am. Nowt to do but summer job and summer drinking till October now. The latter starts this evening.
Katy Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 Meh, I have an anatomy and physiology exam next Wednesday. It's a bitch. Revision is a damn site better than doing essays though. I hate essays.

Good luck everyone, horrible time of the year. The only module on the LLB that I can remember where you had to revise every bloody thing on the course!! I would recomend that you throw in the odd fact regarding "real-life" events as company tutors love that (to of my very close mates are those miserable gits). I.e for a seperate legal personality question throw in the impact of City's administration. Even better, the Leeds example as it concerned a more controversial concept of "ready-made Administration" (you'll learn more about that on the LPC/BVC). Even if your basic knowledge is sketchy, the fact that you can apply it to real life events can still get you a very good first/2:1. I'm sure I dont need to tell you this but every bit of advice helps. Good luck!

The key to management exams is to draw pictures and diagrams for things that could be easily explained in words anyway, with lots of arrows. They love arrows them management bods.

lcfc_jme Posted 11 May 2009 Posted 11 May 2009 That is my birthday. Forgive me for NOT thinking of you that day Jameh. Forgiven. Though I won't be thinking of how much I'd rather be celebrating your birthday that day. Honest. <_< Ouch. Good luck, I bet you will do well Hoping so! I mean, I don't want to settle for the standard 40% that I need to pass this year - just quite worried about the Contract and Tort exams. They've bored me almost to tears this year and not much has gone in. They may be very difficult for me.

Trespass to land is great for exams, as it is only three cases, and the occupier's liability is also easy to remember. I ballsed up on nuisance though Wish I'd read up more on negligence now.

Well, to be fair I shall be celebrating it the following weekend so if you feel like having a night off the study, I'll let you know where I'll be. I reckon you'll be fine Jamie, you're cleverer than you look I'm just reading about cartilagionous, fibrous and synovial joints at the moment - go me.
