StanSP Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 All exams are over for me now! IM FREEEEEEAnd there is nothing to do. <_< Ssh you. That's way too early to finish! And I'd happily go back to doing GCSEs!
Fox92 Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 A year after I have left school, I never thought I would be doing some at college. ... Think again, there coming up in June. Oh, God.
DB11 Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 English Lit was the hardest GCSE for me. You've got to know the book, analyse the characters, contexts and all that shit - really not my kind of thing. Ok it was so hard To Kill A Mockingbird Why Harper Lee? WHY? Well, if I'd understood the teacher I'd know the answer to why she wrote it I guess
Asha Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Ok it was so hard To Kill A Mockingbird Why Harper Lee? WHY? Well, if I'd understood the teacher I'd know the answer to why she wrote it I guess I had that book as well, hated it...boring as fcuk. Atticus is a cu nt.
DB11 Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 I had that book as well, hated it...boring as fcuk.Atticus is a cu nt. Tom Robinson got all he deserved! Question today: How is Calpurnia important to the novel as a whole? I mean, WTF?
Asha Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Tom Robinson got all he deserved! Question today: How is Calpurnia important to the novel as a whole? I mean, WTF? For me the only decent part was when that Ewell bloke spat in Atticus' face. Guess the Calpurnia thing would be about racism and shit. Pretty sure I failed the Lit side, got a dream question in the Lang creative writing though which bought the end mark up. "Describe your dream world. (27 marks)" Brilliant.
DB11 Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 For me the only decent part was when that Ewell bloke spat in Atticus' face. Not even read that And not intending to either
CosbehFox Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Went alright. I knew stuff but I got my timing all wrong and spent too long on the puny answers. I am still in shock I paid £4 for a pint of Peroni earlier!!
DB11 Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Went alright. I knew stuff but I got my timing all wrong and spent too long on the puny answers. Haha I love my referee watch. I set up how long it recommends you spend on each answer, and my watch vibrates when that time finishes. Therefore, even if I've not completed, I move onto the next question
DB11 Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 how did people find GCSE english literature today ?? Solid! What novel and play did you do? Also, I was told I got it horribly wrong by everyone on section C. For some reason, I thought it was about swans () but everyone else "knew" that it was a metaphor for love so wrote about that. I just wrote about how the poet likes swans and thinks they are beautiful
Katy Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Got mine tomorrow, mind is not on it at all. I think it's going to end badly for me.
Guest Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Got mine tomorrow, mind is not on it at all. I think it's going to end badly for me. At least you've passed the year, and you're not relying on it. I'm sure that it will be fine once you get in there.
stez Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 At least you've passed the year, and you're not relying on it. I'm sure that it will be fine once you get in there. that is a positive.
Katy Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 At least you've passed the year, and you're not relying on it. I'm sure that it will be fine once you get in there. Yeah, thanks Lease. I reckon it'll be ok.
stez Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Anyone got Philosophy of Religion on Friday?? is the philosophy of religions, you're either with us or against us?
StanSP Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 is the philosophy of religions, you're either with us or against us? Based on the fact that I don't understand your question, I'm going to say no
CosbehFox Posted 19 May 2009 Posted 19 May 2009 Haha I love my referee watch. I set up how long it recommends you spend on each answer, and my watch vibrates when that time finishes. Therefore, even if I've not completed, I move onto the next question Well the questions were subdivided into 25 marks and the last was just one question worth of the full 26 plus it was a massive scope. It could have been worth 1500 words of coursework. Only left myself 15 minutes to get something down. Fingers crossed I get enough picked up. I only need one merit out of the two modules which I am awaiting marks for - I need a merit profile but skip a year of the degree and go on to the second year and the process saving me 2 years of part-time studying.
Hitesh Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Last exam (hopefully ever!) coming up!! Can't wait to get this all over with and them I'm a freee man!
