foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 What a save!.... by chamberlain... Gibbs gone off and chamberlain remains on wtf 3 nil now, this could be 7 or 8
MikeyT Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Oh dear 3-0 Chelsea now. Arsenal down to 10 men too. Has he sent off Gibbs by mistake? looks that way!
One Legged Beaver Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 I was expecting a routine Chelsea win but this is taking the biscuit!
Uncle Phil Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Oh dear 3-0 Chelsea now. Arsenal down to 10 men too. looks that way! Farce! Andre Marimare. Happy 1000th Arsene. This could be an absolute smashing for Arsenal.
theessexfox Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Despite the Ox telling the ref it was him, he sent off Gibbs..
Uncle Phil Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 THAT'S RACIST I think I just saw him congratulating Ramires on his finish for the first.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Arsenal need a new manager . . . . . True, I mean he bought an injured player in January who is yet to feature for Arsenal yet they needed a fit striker and midfielder.... what is he doing.
LCFC FOX Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Despite the Ox telling the ref it was him, he sent off Gibbs.. It looks like he was saying "It wasn't me" I thought
One Legged Beaver Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Can the FA go back a retrospectively ban Oxlaide-Chamberlain? If not then that is probably beneficial to Arsenal as Gibbs's red should definitely get rescinded.

Nope the FA can't ban chamberlain for just a deliberate handball... the ref needed to give him a red but didn't

It's not like they were coming back into this game if Gibbs remained on the pitch

It's not like they were coming back into this game if Gibbs remained on the pitch It is a funny one because I think you are right, Gibbs should be able to get his card rescinded... meaning neither player get a ban, the ref has basically f***ed up and he is the one in the most trouble by the FA
MikeyT Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Now 4-0. Wonder how many Chelsea will get in the second half.

Different situation but maybe the Ox will still get suspended?
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 The whole Wenger thing has been a joke. Such adulation and build-up for his 1000th match in charge and they are being thumped (again) by one of their Premiership rivals. A large contingent of the Arsenal fans themselves say that they needed a change quite some time ago. Wenger, actually, is a good example of when 'consistency' doesn't work. Arsenal are a big club with immense resources yet have failed to win ANY TROPHY in 9 years. How that can provide strong evidence for 'consistency' is beyond me? Being in football is and should still be primarily about winning trophies. After a superb start, Wenger has failed miserably in this respect. This isn't an opinion, it's fact.
theessexfox Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 From BBC Sport: 3:17: The wrong guy - Chelsea 3-0 ArsenalArsenal may get that card changed. In November, Preston of League One had the wrong man sent off against Port Vale - retrospectively, striker Joe Garner was suspended for three games despite midfielder Neil Kilkenny being shown the red card during the match.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 At least Wenger has plenty of space in the trophy cabinet for that gold cannon.

There you go, so chamberlain will receive the red and ban... Yes it would seem of the officials admit to it being a mistake then it can be changed on appeal
