marko Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Rooney isn't world class apparently Is this guy world class then? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnhOtPdCQCY
Jimothy Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Rooney isn't world class apparently Seen many players score from around the halfway line. Beckham, Suarez, Alonso, Gudjonsson to name a few. Beckham, Suarez and our own Joey all aimed for the goal area and hit it, no bounce just a pure strike that went between the post as intended. Rooney waves a foot at a volley and sends it in the general direction of the goal, he's lucky it didn't bounce over. I actually scored a very similar goal as a kid. His second goal is much better, to sort his feet out and control it when the balls was fired at him was excellent.
Leicesterpool Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Southampton have been excellent. They have but I got a few quid on this to finishing 3-3!
Jimothy Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 They have but I got a few quid on this to finishing 3-3! No need to tell me the odds, I already know what you're going to win.
Ross-Kemp Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Sigurdsson makes it 3-2. Massive 3 points for spurs !
The Year Of The Fox Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Rooney isn't world class apparently Its a decent boot. That's all. I've scored a goal like that albeit aged 10 on a 7 a side pitch.
Stadt Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Annoyed for Southempton, I hate Sherwood and as Corky said the media love "a real football man" despite him blaming everyone other than himself.
shen Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 People still harp on about Kyle Naughton, but everytime I've watched him play in the Prem he's been utter garbage and a liability. Why are people still eager to have him back?

Corky Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Hughes showing that Stoke can only play long ball with their resources was just bollocks, they look quite attractive when they want to.
purpleronnie Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Wow, Villa are fvcking terrible. And yet they are 10th in the Premiership, bodes well for us next season.
leicesterisme Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Yep, I have said it a few times on here the bottom half of the premier league is full of very average teams. With 3 or 4 additions we will be absolutely fine.
Langston Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 I think (hope) many will look back at the job Wenger has done post-Emirates move and realise what a selfless one it was - he could've easily jumped ship and gone to Real, PSG, even England (if only). I'm amazed he comes in for so much criticism whereas the people behind the club at Arsenal don't when it comes to expenditure and the like. Their fans should be careful what they wish for.
Danno Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Hahaha villa are horrendous. If they can survive in the Premier League then we will easily next season.

If they don't win the FA cup I don't think it'd be unreasonable for the fans to want him gone - their performances against the big teams are dreadful,
lgfualol Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 No doubt the referee will be demoted to the championship as punishment
Kitchandro Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Its a tough one as there isn't really a direct law for this situation, I would say red as he thought it was going in and thus deliberately prevented what he thought would be a goal. That's stupid. It doesn't matter what the player thinks, the fact is it wasn't going in. So it doesn't deny a goal or goalscoring opportunity, does it?
RowlattsFox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 That's stupid. It doesn't matter what the player thinks, the fact is it wasn't going in. So it doesn't deny a goal or goalscoring opportunity, does it? To be fair in real time it wasn't obvious as to whether the ball was going in or not and you'd have to be right behind it to know for sure. I think every ref would have shown the red in them circumstances. A deliberate attempt to handle the ball in a situation like that should be a red card in my opinion, regardless of whether it's going in or not.
Jimothy Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26711403 Neither The Ox or Gibbs will serve a ban. The FA have decided not only was it the wrong player, the incident wasn't worthy of a red card anyway. Good work Andre
