Dan Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Rather have Westwood. Think Given's past it now, you'd pay higher wages for Given and you'd get less from him - both ability wise and time wise.

Happy Fox Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Simon Moore and Wes Fodderingham would be fairly cheap you are looking at a figure of below a million likewise with Luke Steele those are the sort of keepers I think we will be aiming for as opposed to prem teams, 2nd/3rd choice goalkeepers.

MPH Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 FFP could make it difficult for older players like Given to get the kind of deal they want..... people are now going to want players they can make a bit of money on when they sell them on... He may have to severely lower his demands to make it worth someone taking a punt on him... Then again at the age of 37 he might want to just sit out his contract as I bet he is on a tidy sum at Villa.. and he would most likely get way more in that one year than he would 2 years in the champ.... Be interesting to see what level of desire he has to keep on playing...
