Corky Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Have Millwall released details on their retained list yet? Was the major talking point of our club over the summer.
Albert Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Neither would I. I'd love to know the grounds for his alleged dislike. I thought his form problems last season were supposed to be non-football related but I wouldn't pretend to be 'ITK' about it? There were some minor personal problems but nothing major. If u remember when he first came he was very attacking, took plenty of shots and was always dangerous in and around the box. Pearson has changed that. He's become alot more defensive and to be honest I don't think Marshy was enjoying his football as much as he was when he first came
Leicester_Numan Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Early in the close season several clubs seemed interested in Liam Trotter. I wonder if a deal is imminent there that would free up the funds for a bid for Danns? Otherwise I'd have thought they'd have difficulty agreeing both a fee and personal terms.I think personal terms would be the biggest problem for them. Hard to judge the fee for him though, what would he be worth?
Woollett's Wellies Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 I think personal terms would be the biggest problem for them. Hard to judge the fee for him though, what would he be worth? Entirely my guess of course but as Trotter is significantly younger I'd say much the same as ealingfox a few posts up. Danns +1/1.5m. Probably much more like 1m given the current budget and IF Trotter still has a year left on his contract. I'd guess we'd get Trotter on better personal terms than it's rumoured Danns is currently on so that would offset any transfer fee. Of course this is all assumption and I've not seen any links of Trotter to us for months.
surrifox Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 replacing Danns (at a substantial financial loss) with Trotter makes no sense whatever
Woollett's Wellies Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 replacing Danns (at a substantial financial loss) with Trotter makes no sense whatever If it was at a substantial loss then, no, it wouldn't. When I originally mentioned Trotter I wasn't thinking of him coming to us at all. Just that Millwall had a sniff from another club for him and that would free up funds for them to be credible bidders for Danns. Trotter has been linked with a lot of clubs, Crystal Palace and QPR, just off the top of my head, there were definately more. No mention of a move for Danns from any source other than that Twitter source so very likely there's nothing to it anyway.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Wouldn't like to see him go as I think he has got bags of quality and lots of potential. I do know that he doesn't like Pearson and was very unhappy last season Well that doesn't sound familiar at all does it? And still the blinkered majority on here can't see the problem.
indierich06 Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Well that doesn't sound familiar at all does it? And still the blinkered majority on here can't see the problem. Well if some poster on here says it then it must be true. I wish I wasn't so blinkered and I could just believe all the baseless rumour that's staring me in the face!
1972 Fox Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 based on 7 assists and 6 goals out of position. He isn't a winger
Toffee_Fox Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 I've enquired about new signings been told there still needs to be more players leaving as the club are very much just within the FFP guidelines, also checked on the news posted above by someone and the club have made noises with Peterborough about GZ but thats not likely to develop until players are sold.

KFS Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Zakuani and Morgan under Pearson would be brilliant, utter units but both mobile.

Toffee_Fox Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 absolutely no idea I'm afraid! Just told the above and that its very quiet at the training ground, no talk of anything etc
Guest ttfn Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Zakuani is a bog standard League One centre half. "All arms and legs" as my Posh supporting mate says.

I might get a van and drive all those wasters to Huddersfield.
Danno Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Zakuani is a bog standard League One centre half. "All arms and legs" as my Posh supporting mate says. To be fair though, Pearson is a very good manager for defensive coaching, just look at how he improved Hobbs and Morgan etc.
Guest ttfn Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 To be fair though, Pearson is a very good manager for defensive coaching, just look at how he improved Hobbs and Morgan etc. He's not had to coach Mr Tickle before though.
Deucalion Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 He's not had to coach Mr Tickle before though. What about Bump Whitbread?
KFS Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 He's not had to coach Mr Tickle before though.Maybe it would lighten his mood.Sorry
