Would have been a decent signing. only 24, and he is central player that we don't have, one with the ability to take on his man and shoot/create chances. say what you want about him, he would have been a very good squad player, which would of added quality. As for Zakuani, he would be a very good signing, if and only if we got rid St.Ledger and Whitbread, and then loaned in another Michael Keane. We would cut the wage budget and have a bit more depth. As for the £1 million, it's the sort of prices we must pay, a lot of us would have wanted to sign dwight gayle, but they are selling him for £3 million, which although he is younger, he is less proven.

David Guiza Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 As unreliable and probably nonsense as it is, i'd certainly take both Zakuani and Ward. I'm fairly sure that Ward had quite a bit of trouble with his knee last season, so hopefully that's sorted now if there is any truth at all in the rumour. We could certainly do with another centre back with St Ledger likely to leave and Keane not coming back; and a goal scoring midfielder/winger would be excellent in the form of Ward. Still very early days either way.

I'm pretty sure I saw Vardy on one of the pre season videos on foxesplayer, looks like he's got another new haircut so not easily recognisable.

Xen Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Vardy off on loan as part of the Zakuani deal (if true) would free up his wages, probably helping to fund the deal. He won't be on a great amount, but it's something at least.
