The Horse's Mouth Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 I would rather not think about it if I'm honest. But I assume he won't and he definitely wouldn't be naive enough to sign a contract extension in January if we are doing well. If last season was anything to go by that is.
kingfox Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 How many other teams in the Championship have a strike force that is capable of maintaining a 1-in-2 or just a 1-in-3 record (especially in terms of back-up strikers)? Probably not many, but I would take a lot of strikers over Waghorn & Vardy, and I don't mean the players likely to start for their clubs. Bolton for example will more than likely have, Sordell & C.Davies as back up, I would take them over Waghorn & Vardy any day.
Corky Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Enjoying Ric's posts, a good critique of Pearson and his methods. And he didn't resort to crying and wailing "But you aren't allowed a different opinion It's so unfair!!". Other people take note.

Smudge Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 We've denied him the opportunity? If he wanted to go and we said no he would have handed in a transfer request which would have been refused. Only then would we have been denying him the opportunity and trust me, you would have heard about it if that had happened I remember a great job being available within my company. I would have been working for another person and he wanted to get me transferred, I was very excited about the opportunity. My boss and the managing director said no. I was too important where I was. I felt bitterly disappointed and left the company about a year later. I didn't make a fuss at the time but I didn't forgive or forget. Of course I don't know whether Kasper feels like that, none of us do. What I said was, If I was Kasper, I'd feel like I had been denied an opportunity and would be seriously considering my options. It's a hypotheses Numan, based on my experience, I am not stating a fact

If Kasper had really wanted the job he could have told the club that or requested a transfer. It's unlikely the club would have stood in his way then, for the very reasons you state. Nobody wants to keep an unmotivated player.

Dan Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 Should've had these discussions before we turned Hull down. It would be absolutely typical if we're sitting 4th or 5th in January where our season is largely in the balance again regarding promotion, do you sell him or keep him to help us get up and risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season?

That was after Hull's first bid. We didn't deny him the opportunity, he didn't want it
theessexfox Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 We will be the losers in this whole Kasper affair, it's inevitable. He'll go for nothing.

theessexfox Posted 26 July 2013 Posted 26 July 2013 The only way he can show he is committed to us is by signing a new contract, whatever he says to the media or on Twitter.
CharlieCharles Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Did not want to start a new topic.. with 200 apps coming up (currently 197), is anything planned for him like the Kingy 300 banner?

Soar Fox Posted 23 December 2015 Posted 23 December 2015 I also think this squad isn't good enough, the managers not good enough either. We've not strengthened because we can't, so what is going to happen? A frustrating season, several players leaving next summer and a new manager. We're likely to be even weaker but without the money we could have received. It's all about knowing when to cash in and we should have done with Kasper. Wes i'd perhaps take a risk on but if Forest want him enough and offered over £2.5 million then i'd be flogging him. Ric Flair more like Ric Mare
