mhs123 Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 why are so many men wearing flip flops, i can see the need for them on a beach, pool side holiday but doing the shopping, come on lads its all a bit gay.
Simmo86 Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 You're living in the dark ages. Nowt wrong with a pair of flip flops!
Captain... Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 For the beach or mooching round the house, but even if it is really hot I would put proper shoes on to go to the shop in this country.
Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Never worn them and think men look ridiculous in them as well. Uncultured and look like an Australian.
absolutelegend Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 I love them in the summer, but only a good quality comfy pair, not the cheap plastic havaianas style ones. They are easy to chuck on and off, and don't let my feet get hot. They are also good for my foot that has a little athletes foot haha Not really too bothered what thet look like, or if they are a 'bit gay'.
purpleronnie Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 anyone who isnt on holiday should be banned from wearing them, not only do they look stupid the sound is extremely annoying.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Wouldn't even consider wearing them unless I was on holiday, even then for me it's pretty much strictly beach-wear I was bought a pair of decent Havaianas as a gift but they still slice the gap in the toes, and I hate the noise, the look, and the toe-stubbing frequency. In fact the only thing they're good for is stopping you torching your feet on hot sand
Zingari Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 I love 'em . Nothing is funnier than watching some clumsy bloke or woman come a cropper while trying to negotiate even the simplest of obstacles wearing flip flops I'm just surprised they haven't done a YBF just dedicated to flip flop howlers.
absolutelegend Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 I was bought a pair of decent Havaianas as a gift but they still slice the gap in the toes That's becuase, unlike kermo, they aren't decent
Rincewind Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Never worn them and think men look ridiculous in them as well. Uncultured and look like an Australian. It's nice to slob out occasionally and look like an Australian but I draw the line at drinking Fosters or XXXX Still not sure about the sig. Matt can't remember being drunk enough to write that.
Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 It's nice to slob out occasionally and look like an Australian but I draw the line at drinking Fosters or XXXX One guy went missing in the outback a few years ago and had to drink his urine to survive, at one point he was so thirsty and couldn't go so he had to drink the can of Fosters in his rucksack.
Bayfox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 anything is better than a pair of CROCS!!!! Not right for any place.
mhs123 Posted 30 August 2013 Author Posted 30 August 2013 and just to add insult to injury the bloody noise they create.
sphericalfox Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 an entire thread about flip flops and not a mention of Col City? well there is now...
Out Foxed Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 i used to think this. then i lived in sunny OZ for a bit. now i wear them all the time.
Saxondale Posted 30 August 2013 Posted 30 August 2013 Lads in flip-flops in Shelly Tesco always means the student twats are back in town.
notnow john Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Leave my French friend alone. Would that be Philippe ?
lavrentis Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Lads in flip-flops in Shelly Tesco always means the student twats are back in town. Last year I saw a student in a dressing gown out on the street.
lavrentis Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 For me the worst thing is the noise. Horrible, I will never understand why people wear them
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 People who wear them with any type of jeans / trousers are utter wankers
