glen parva fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Thought it was Neil in the fox suit doing his impersonation of Filbert!!!
Corky Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Not really the same thing at all. Players/managers get criticized when they play shit. So far Sam Bailey has been the only consistently good person on the show .You lot rather just criticize her for the sake of being pricks. If anyone does actually boo her on Tuesday, they need to seriously get a life. Ok, I'll take your word for it. If people want to boo her I doubt it's because of her, but the link of this pointless karaoke contest to the club and getting some prominent figures all involved with it and "putting Leicester on the map", as though it's something to be immensely proud of.
Filbert_Ross Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I can't get my head around the X factor & WWE thread. Strange bunch.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 So does anyone want to come with me to watch Katy Perry in her live tour next year?
Lobsterboyuk Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Watched her for the first time tonight and she's a pretty good singer. Good on yeh girl!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I know her husband from somewhere I am sure.
Guest Bilo Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I know her husband from somewhere I am sure. Probably, she's been doing the club circuit for years in Leicester and her husband's usually there apparently.

I'm trying to place him and I think its actually from the plumbing merchants I used to work at in Coalville. I may be wrong but if so his resemblance is astonishing.
Mark_w Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I'm booing her. If it gets rid of Kingfox I approve.
Harry - LCFC Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I'm just looking forward to when my club isn't linked to some trivial karaoke competition. I don't mind people wanting her to win but it's when everyone, including the club itself, continues with this constant outpouring of love that I get a little annoyed.
Soar Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Hope we sing that to her on Tuesday I really hope we don't. It would be embarrassing.
Dan Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Got nothing against Sam at all, I quite like her actually, but I'm really not at all arsed about the shite factor and can't wait for it to finally be over.

I don't see it as that big a problem to be honest. It's been a bit ott from Stringer on Twitter, but she's proclaiming her support for City to a national audience. What else should she do, cover it like it's a dirty secret? I'm sure a lot of us would do the same in the same position, and her performance will beat watching pre-pubescent asthmatics doing a relay on Tuesday evening.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Can't wait for my Facebook to be in outrage with people claim they'll never watch it again because the favourite hasn't won
Soar Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Can't wait for my Facebook to be in outrage with people claim they'll never watch it again because the favourite hasn't won I just went on my Facebook and someone has put "if Sam doesn't win it's a fix"

My problem isn't with her, it's with the people who continue to pretend she represents my club. She's a minuscule pinprick of unimportance in comparison to the match itself: a quarter final no less. Some people genuinely seem to forget this too. They mention their excitement of hearing her sing - fair enough - but not their excitement about the game? Hmmm.
Brooksy Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Singing something Leicester City related would be a good start.
mackiepas Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Anymore embarrassing then the Poznan? I think not

They mention their excitement of hearing her sing - fair enough - but not their excitement about the game? Hmmm. In fairness, Sam Bailey singing wouldn't shift 32,000 tickets. The match has been uppermost in the club's marketing since the draw was made, and it's only been since the match became a sell-out that it's been announced she'll be performing. It's being sold as a bonus to those who've already brought tickets to a quarter final, not as the main attraction. The fear that we'll end up with teenage girls and housewives depriving fans who want to watch the football is not a valid one in my opinion, nor is the fear of her overshadowing the game. She'll sing a song pre-match and/or half-time, end of.
