Guest Bilo Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Massive over reaction from some on here. Low point in our history? Comical considering you have the username of Poznan. At the end of the day, she's won a TV show that some do not find popular. There's no denying that she has a brilliant voice. Stop being so damn ignorant and you might actually enjoy hearing her sing!! Cant believe the miserable sods on this site. She has given our club a bit of publicity and the feel good factor.I bet some of you hope we lose every week so you can look forward to a good rant on here. Thank you for the sanity. I'm mystified by the negativity towards her. I'm not a fan of the show, I watched about twenty minutes tonight for the first time in about four or five years, but see absolutely zero harm in her giving the club publicity by talking about her support or performing on Tuesday night. As for low point in our history? Stoke 2008? Wycombe 2001? A bunch of tossers singing Glory, Glory Man United at Manchester City and the Yuki Abe dog-eating chant made me cringe far more than anything about Sam Bailey ever would, even as somebody who'd much rather us sing proper Leicester songs all game.
lcfcfem Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 She is a foxes fan regardless. Respect to all our fans surely!
shade Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 people from leicester seem to have quite a small time mentality, the foxes supporters hate the tigers supporters, some supporters hate sam bailey, it's weird!

Soup Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I think her voice is naff.Just cause she can shout in tune doesn't give her a good voice.
Fox92 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Then Man City fans come back with chants of Joy Division, Oasis and The Smiths. They win.

Dan Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Good publicity for what? You think a load of people are going to start coming down and supporting us now they know Sam Bailey supports us. I'd rather have an empty ground than one full of the XFactor crowd.
EnderbyFox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Hope we sing that to her on Tuesday Can we chant about Mark Selby every time he wins a tournament?
Fox92 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Do people really think Sam Bailey has improved Leicester's reputation? I bet half of the people who watch the program don't even know where's she's from. One of England's greatest strikers ever is from Leicester, England's World Cup winning goalkeeper played for Leicester while Kasabian are a decent non manufactured band that are from Leicester. That's good enough for me. Edit: forgot about Selby as well, who is a good snooker player.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Hopefully for those completely uninterested by this they may be able to get a fag, piss, pie and pint in in 15 mins
Guest Bilo Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Then Man City fans come back with chants of Joy Division, Oasis and The Smiths. They win. Kasabian? I'm not sure if you've noticed, but Manchester is a little larger than Leicester. Stands to reason they have more of a music scene, really. Oh, and Morrissey is an attention seeking old cvnt anyway. It's utterly bizarre.
kingfox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Disrespectful some of you are. Hope she shoves a truncheon up your arses.
syston_fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 In reply to Poznan as I cant seem to quote... If our naff PA system can cope with it (not got the best history) then I will enjoy it because there is no denying her talent. As for will I sing along.... what does that matter? At the end of the day, this was announced AFTER the game was a sell out so you don't have to worry about any other "plastic" fans pumping money into our club by paying to see her....

And what benefit will we have in millions of screaming 15 year olds knowing that she's from Leicester. I'm glad she's won, I did watch the final, but I shan't be staying to watch her at HT
Voll Blau Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Then Man City fans come back with chants of Joy Division, Oasis and The Smiths. They win. Johnny Marr was brought up as a City fan but Morrissey has been at various times a Man united, West Ham or Millwall fan.

It's funny how you bring up Manchester is bigger than Leicester, yet when people use the attendance argument (pointless) to try and win a debate against Watford fans, for example, then size of the place isn't considered. Say what you like about Morrissey. I like him personally, and he was/is a top lyricist.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Great, the door is now open for more drawn out embarrassing claptrap. Stringer / the phone in will be unbearable. **** her off to the cruise ships asap please.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I hate X factor, But she's a leicestet fan and proud, who is/was a sth and proud of her club,anyone/thing that's represents leicestet has my backing. Well done Sam
Fox92 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Johnny Marr was brought up as a City fan but Morrissey has been at various times a Man united, West Ham or Millwall fan. I was talking in terms of how good/big the bands were, but yeah I know. Although I don't think Morrissey is interested in football anymore. I don't think the rumour about him supporting Millwall were true, someone said he was going to buy them when he wasn't.

It's not just that it's a bigger city, it has a huge cultural and musical history as a city. There are numerous cities bigger than Manchester, but it's only really London and Liverpool that can match it for musical output.

I think his hobby is more 'spouting outrageous bullshit to get headlines' these days.
