Sam Bailey wins x factor

We shouldn't chant about her, it will be cringey, but she deserves a standing ovation, that's simplistic enough.

If I hear boo's I will walk straight out that stadium.

People are disrespecting her, just because she won X Factor and they don't like the show, and presume everyone who goes on that show is shit, and is a pub/cruise ship singer but that's not the case.

One of the better winners, that show has produced.

Are you related to her or something?

Why do I have to be related to her, she from leicester, and has won something, I'm not saying use that chant but just an idea, but how often does leicester or people from Leicester win anything.

I am not related to the girl, but happy a leicester girl has done well.

Why would anyone want to boo a genuine Leicester fan who's done well. Does it really matter if you like her style of music or not, she is clearly looking forward to singing at the ground and some people want to make her feel shit about the club she loves.

Good on yer Sam. City thru and thru and let's millions know it on national tv. I'm proud that she's proud to be part of our big blue family

The issue is that the club have turned our huge game v one of the best teams in Europe into a Sam Bailey lovefest. They Reading or Bolton game's would've been better for a half time karaoke.

I genuinely thought we'd see Alan Young running onto the stage windmilling his cock when she won.

Also, how nice of Ian stringer to ring up 500,000 times to vote for her?

Joking aside. that's the only qualms I had with this whole thing, it was so cringe hearing those two bounding on like teen 1D fans thinking they were 'doing their bit'.

She's obviously passionate about Leicestershire, the Millwall picture is a bit suspect but whatever.

She's going to perform on Tuesday, be supportive but lets not milk it by dedicating a song to her- that suggestion seems to be fuelled by the over-the-top nature of the X Factor show. Which, by the way, she's done a cracking job of not getting caught up in unlike our resident commentators.

Good luck to her and well done.

Because some fans might act like utter bellends.

Agree mate, hard working mother who has took the amazing chance she was given, and is talented.

Any booing will just prove how small minded some people are, and would be an embarrassment.

The girl said on xfactor that she is looking forward to going city on Tuesday, so I guess she's a leicester fan.

Nice for her to win but a bit cringey to perform Simon Cowell's latest moneyspinner. Maybe she could just talk to the Birch and leave the folks to eat their pies in peace without her crooning?

Do you walk when fans boo at half time when we are 1-0 down at halftime at home to some dross side?

Kasabian? Selby?

Kasabian? Selby?

Not everyone is in to kasabian, don't know a lot about them, couldn't tell you what they sing, but I am older, how big are they, the size of take that in the 90's, and snooker has a selective audience and doesn't get much press, so unless your into snooker you probably wouldn't know who he is.

But I don't watch XFactor and couldn't care less about that program. About time someone pulled the plug on it anyway. I don't know who she is.

You can use that argument for everything.

I'm not using it as an argument because I ain't that interested, I was replying to somebody who commented on people booing her.

I only watch it when the people who can't sing are on early in the show, just in disbelieve that they would embarrass themselves, and only watched the result because it was a local girl was in it.

My point is ok people don't like xfactor, or Sam Bailey, go have a pint, talk to their mates, go for a shit if they ain't interested, but to boo the girl is small minded, she did well for her family regardless of anyone's interest.

Pathetic how bitter some fans are being towards her. No one's saying you have to be a fan of the show or her but we should at least accommodate and acknowledge a big Leicester fan's success. Booing her is such a pathetic suggestion. Stop trying so hard to be anti-establishment.

Fair post.

Apparently Sharon Osbourne said 'she'd put Leicester on the map'.

And it's that kind of thing which is annoying people. I have no issue with the girl herself, it's just the show, and the big deal that's made out of it. Some people think she makes our city look good - when in fact, all the attention and all the fuss we are making out of it makes us look a bit shit. Like we're so desperate to make something out of nothing, like some shitty village. Can you imagine Sheffield or even Nottingham making a big deal about this?

And make no mistake, nothing is what it is. She's won a corrupt, repetitive competition which is essentially a popularity contest. That doesn't make her a great artist.

Fvcking hell, we're the city of Kasabian, the biggest band in Britain at the moment. Regardless of whether you like them or think they're overrated. People like Youngy and Stringer jizzing their pants over this look really pathetic. Oh, and they've made a mockery of our club in the process. Cheers for that.

It's a nothing show and with all due respect, it's a nothing achievement. Let's see her write a great song or something.

Well done Sam. While i'm not the biggest fan of the show im glad she's won and will watch her tuesday night. The girl is following her dream, love it or hate the x factor has delivered that when she must have felt that her chance had long gone. Shes never shied away from showing her support for City, if she had she'd be getting slated for that. The girl can sing so to say she cant is ridiculous, she is probably one of the best singers the shows seen so show some class tuesday night and show her some support, if you can't do that or don't want to be quiet or go for a pint or piss as booing will only reflect badly upon us as a set of supporters and make us look more tin pot than ever.

I personally think the animosity towards her comes from t.v snobbery towards the x factor, years ago when i was a kid back in the seventies people used to sellotape over the itv buttons on their tv sets and refused to watch the channel out of snobbery. My uncle was one, when round their house i used to sit and stare at the buttons wondering why they never got the tv repaired. That sounds ridiculous now.
