Voll Blau Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I was talking in terms of how good/big the bands were, but yeah I know. Although I don't think Morrissey is interested in football anymore. I don't think the rumour about him supporting Millwall were true, someone said he was going to buy them when he wasn't. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/3147461/Morrissey-plumps-for-Millwall-game-E.ON-struggling-to-keep-clean-sheet-Football.html "After being spotted swanking around Los Angeles in a Millwall shirt with “Mobster†printed on the back, Manchester’s greatest musical miserablist, Morrissey, has let it be known to club officials that he would like to attend the next home game, against Leeds. While not previously regarded as a club that might have much to offer the patron saint of introspection, some of the singer’s solo output would suggest he has been auditioning for his enrolment as a member of F Troop for some time." Bloke cracks me up.
Fox92 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I think his hobby is more 'spouting outrageous bullshit to get headlines' these days. He moved from England years ago. While he can be controversial, some of his points are decent and at the end of the day he makes the headlines. And look, now you've brought him into a thread on here. As I said say what you like. I enjoy Morrissey for his career purpose which was writing good music, and I always will do.
Winnershfox Posted 15 December 2013 Author Posted 15 December 2013 Anothershitseason. Your user name says it all really. We are crap ...moan Sam Bailey ... moan Nothing is good enough. I bet you were a part of the MON out brigade, this after we had won the league cup.!!
Fox92 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/3147461/Morrissey-plumps-for-Millwall-game-E.ON-struggling-to-keep-clean-sheet-Football.html "After being spotted swanking around Los Angeles in a Millwall shirt with “Mobster†printed on the back, Manchester’s greatest musical miserablist, Morrissey, has let it be known to club officials that he would like to attend the next home game, against Leeds. Bettsj2 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Kinneck lads. Are people seriously suggesting booing her? Come on, it's either her or they wheel out 'Joseph, A tribute to George Micheal' again to sing Last Christmas.
Lionator Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 We could sing Kasabian songs like LSF but our fans are too stubborn to do it.
syston_fox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Or not everyone likes Kasabian.... shocking I know!
Corky Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 The thought of booing her is ridiculous, mind. I agree. Bring back Gallagher.
LMlcfc Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 I know we've lost our last 2 and drawn.. we are still 3rd 2 points off top... some people are saying pearson out already. Sam bailey is from Leicester.. Shes won the Xfactor and enjoys coming to the KingPower.. She even mentioned our club on live tv! So alot of folk have been wanting to make a song for her to be sung from the terraces becacuse she is a good role model and icon for our club. People are already slating the idea.. calling it embarresment.. we dont want this in our club. atmosphere is bad as it is, sam baileys shit etc etc... Maybe just lighten up abit and try and enjoy our clubs achievements and recognition thats happening too us? Jesus christ
1964FOX Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Why would anyone want to boo a genuine Leicester fan who's done well. Does it really matter if you like her style of music or not, she is clearly looking forward to singing at the ground and some people want to make her feel shit about the club she loves.
purpleronnie Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 ... Yeah he cracks me up as well. I'm sure he does some things just to get a reaction, and it works. Yep and those reacting seem oblivious as well....legend.
Brooksy Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 The thought of booing her is ridiculous, mind. :xmaslaugh: Wouldn't rule it out with our fans.
NathanC93 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 They're probably calling it an embarrassment because it would be. We're not going to chant about an X-Factor winner at football are we?
LMlcfc Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 They're probably calling it an embarrassment because it would be. We're not going to chant about an X-Factor winner at football are we?she she is a fan? whats the difference if we chant about bernie ? its not just about xfactor..its the fact shes a leicester fan
Jaspa Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Is this about you liking Sam Bailey or people moaning about the club?
Fox92 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 What achievements? On field stuff I agree to sing about, but I wouldn't sing about a talent contest winner. That's for half time if you want to do it, surely... Liverpool and Everton don't sing about The Beatles, Chelsea don't sing about Madness ffs. Are you implying she's a club icon as well? No she isn't, she has no connection to the club. Kasabian have more of a connection, yet do we have threads about them? And they are actually musicians. If you think we should sing about our icons and legends that's fine, I'm all up for singing the name of Lineker, Banks and Izzet. Why don't we do that? Manchester United do it, they sing about Cantona and Best still. I'd like it if we did that.
NathanC93 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 she is a fan? whats the difference if we chant about bernie ? its not just about xfactor..its the fact shes a leicester fan But since when do we chant the fans of the club? Do we chant Tom from Kasabian's name? Lineker? Roy Cropper from Coronation street?
demon_dog Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 Never seen XFactor, never seen her. Do I care - No. Does that make me a miserable bugger?
Monsell1976 Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 She one of our own chant would sound alright, would be nice for her
broughtonblue Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 She one of our own chant would sound alright, would be nice for herAgreed, especially if we are getting well beaten, would lighten the mood a little
SystonFox Posted 15 December 2013 Posted 15 December 2013 She one of our own chant would sound alright, would be nice for her Apart from its a shit chant I wish leave football altogether. Sloop John B can get to fvck
