Standers in N block ejected, Banned and cancelled season tickets

Now youre being antagonising! There's J whatever it is next to k.

Look I love standing and I'd never go to a match again if i couldnt do so. But thats why i bought a ST in L.

I was in N when it was tried originally in 07 but once it became problematic i moved. Easy.

And yes if the club wanted to enforce the rules throughout the ground they would make us sit. They'd lose 100s of STHs but if you inflame the situation that badly in N then they could be willing to risk this.

Which I believe is a lot more expensive in J. How do you know they wouldn't start making us sit down if we made a new section in J?

My son was with a group of 5 friends, all in their mid thirties on the back row of the Kop (SK1) and they all stood up to celebrate a goal, now admittedly they stood for a a minute or so longer than those sat in the middle and bottom of the stand but hey we'd just scored a goal.

Before they could sit down two stewards marched up and grabbed one of them and ejected him from the stadium and banned him. No one could explain why he was chosen amongst the 5 even though he was 4 seats in out of the 5

It's maybe worth noting that he was the smallest at 5ft 6" the others all being over 6ft,

It comes as no surprise to me that all 5 having been regular supporters since they were pre-teen none of them now go to matches at the KP.

The club seem to be completely blinkered to the fact that all these kids they are encouraging to be long time supporters of LCFC grow up to become young men and women many of whom have a different perspective on how they want to show their support for the team and then are systematically ignored, shunned and seemingly become unwanted.

Excellent post davieG.

There has to be a real fear that the club could reap what they sow long term. I for one have heard a number of similar reports to yours, and it really does concern me how gung ho the stewarding can be at times.

That last statement would have a great deal more impact if you could differentiate between 'your' and 'you're.'

Excellent observation, I hope you use those skills as a benefit to the nation. Thanks again, I love your feedback.

But if we were to remove L and K that would calm the fans even further and then we'd need even fewer officers, which is a good thing as you pointed out.

Then I am a child. You really haven't paid attention have you....

I have never once said I wanted to kill any atmosphere....

Have you bothered reading everyone else's posts?

I very much doubt it.

If you have read all the other posts, then I despair at your attitude. You are so self righteous you have disappeared up your own backside.

I must be honest, I forgot that it 'takes all sorts' to support a football club.

I'm going on what you said. Separating home and away fans reduces the need for police officers which is a good thing - You said this when you resisted the idea of standing in N block.

Well its pretty obvious N block won't be happening so youve nothing to lose. Granted it is more expensive but I still don't believe that theres not 1 single spare ST seat at the back of L nor a ST seat or matchday seat in k.

Stand if you want to. Stand towards the back to help others see who want to sit. Sing if you want to. Sit quietly if you want to. Swear if you want to but try not to swear in the family stand. However sometimes passion can get the better of you ( as it does me and the odd swear word does come out). I am at the back row of N block and will stand and sing to my dying day. I love my beloved leicester city.

That may work with your parents. I didn't say that at all. I mentioned segregation between N block nothing more nothing less...

100% agree and if you get kicked out because of it, take it like a man and don't cry about it on here.

There may be the odd one or two together. But we want to be together. We are at the back on N block blocking no ones view hardly swearing so whats the problem. We are doing the same as L and K.

When was this?

No offence but either you aren't telling the whole story or this didn't happen.

And it smacks of playing the victim card (went for the little one, etc).

You're too ignorant to understand are you? Regardless of what you are or arent doing wrong the club will not allow it.

 For the rest of this season they should allow it. They had no problem last season which is why we renewed because we thought we could stand again. They waited till about the third home game in to come up and tell us to sit down. Which by then good seats in L and K block had gone. So for this season they should accept we are wanting to stand and next season we will move over to L or K and if we carry on to stand next season they I will not blame them for ejecting and banning people.

It's a completely true story, I attended many a game with the same group and I can say quite honestly that I never saw any of them do anything to warrant this action, in fact a few games previously the same guy had a hugging session with another steward after we'd scored and we were down the front then.

2 seasons ago but I've no reason to believe there's been any fundamental change whilst there seems to exist a vendetta like approach to young men and women from boardroom down then it's not surprising that it will bring out the worse in the odd steward.

I might also add that one of the friend's Dad is a 'top ranking' (don't know his official title) steward who travelled with us to several Wembley games so it's not as if they are not familiar with or unsympathetic to the overall role that stewards have to endure.

Any way I have no intention in getting involved heavily with this debate it's been discussed to death and will continue until the authorities see good sense and introduce safe standing because it's a fact that many young adults get greater enjoyment and value from the game when standing and are less likely to cause trouble in an official controlled safe standing area.

Why should they accept? Because you said so?

Fair dos.

Only reason i question it is because i've never seen anybody took out in that context, and most complaints of ejections on this forum usually don't tell the full story (abusive behaviour, etc)..

Must have been a steward on a massive power trip, or direct orders from you know who!

I wouldn't say that about someone like Davie.
