We're top of the league at the minute, Fulham are bottom of the Premier League and will more than likely go down. Only an idiot would fancy swapping clubs.
weller54 Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Looks like Sheff Utd vs Forest could be off!!... Shame, wanted a hard encounter for forest before we play them!!....
Native Fox Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Let them rest, let us beat them at their best and demoralise the scum.
RedHux Posted 14 February 2014 Posted 14 February 2014 Good read concerning the Clough Davies rivalry ahead of Sundays cup match... http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/feb/13/sheffield-united-nigel-clough-brian-clough-fa-cup-billy-davies-nottingham-forest?CMP=twt_gu My favourite bit... "... the story Steve Bruce tells about going to the toilet during one function years ago and, mid-flow, taking an almighty whack to the back. Bruce ended up getting soaked in the urinals. "That, young man, is for all the times you kicked my Nigel," came that familiar nasal voice. "Now, carry on."
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 14 February 2014 Posted 14 February 2014 Great for Sheffield United to beat a big club in this competition after Colchester, Cambridge and Aston Villa (all away). Are you trying to imply that Fulham are a big club and Aston Villa are not? EDIT: I guess you were winding up Leicesterpool.
Corky Posted 14 February 2014 Posted 14 February 2014 Are you trying to imply that Fulham are a big club and Aston Villa are not? EDIT: I guess you were winding up Leicesterpool. I was.
Fox92 Posted 14 February 2014 Posted 14 February 2014 Really wanted Forest to play on a poor pitch, a difficult game, before playing us.
ScouseFox Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 I don't understand Southampton's outlook here. They've played a slightly weakened team for this game and they're losing and probably going to go out. What were they saving their players for? They're safe, they're going to finish top half and there's probably not much hope that they're going to get into Europe through the league. With United out, Spurs out, two of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and City going out, they're the idea side in an ideal situation to go full pelt at the FA Cup for a chance of glory. But they're going to go out in the fifth round to Sunderland. Really confusing and quite shit.
Lamby Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 Our game is off. Sheff Wed are such a tinpot club.
Fox92 Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 I agree Scouse. Bet a few people would have looked at Southampton as potential winners when you consider what round we are in, what teams are already out and what teams will go out later (Arsenal/Liverpool and Chelsea/City).
dayday Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 Come on Cardiff bloody sort it out Well that's was quick, now for the win.
Stadt Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 Our game is off. Sheff Wed are such a tinpot club.I'm going to assume that was said in jest.
Lamby Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 I'm going to assume that was said in jest. No. They are tinpot, they don't even have any history.
Corky Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 Our game is off. Sheff Wed are such a tinpot club. How the fvck can you moan given your club calls off games at half-time when it's a bit wet at 3-1 down?
ScouseFox Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 Gotta say Wigan winning would kinda please me cos I forgot to book the Saturday off and I wanted to go, so it being moved to midweek would be nice from a personal point of view.
Jimothy Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 Our game is off. Sheff Wed are such a tinpot club. Didn't Charlton have a succsesion of games called off, plus the Doncaster called off at half time? And to say Sheff wed are tinpot and have no history, when you support Charlton! I was hoping it was said in jest, but you've said it's not. Wish you'd just **** off from this forum to be honest, you bring nothing but pathetic moaning, and you don't even support City.
Matt Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 Our game is off. Sheff Wed are such a tinpot club. Correct me if i'm wrong but havn't Charlton had a fair few games called off this season, a good majority of which we at home? I genuinely don't know this for sure, tbh i'm not that bothered - hence why i'm not even going to bother checking myself, I may be wrong but I certainly remember a game against Doncaster called off at h/t and I seem to remember 1 or 2 other games also with P's against them.
Fox92 Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 That Doncaster game got called off at about 70 minutes when Doncaster were 3-1 up at Charlton.
Lamby Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 That Doncaster game got called off at about 70 minutes when Doncaster were 3-1 up at Charlton. No, it was at half time. That was properly waterlogged so there was no other choice. We've only had one league game called off on 11th January.
Lamby Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 Apologies, thought it was after half time. It got abandoned for like 15mins at the 30min mark, then carried on til half time when it was properly postponed.
Guest ttfn Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 No, it was at half time. That was properly waterlogged so there was no other choice. We've only had one league game called off on 11th January. And a cup game. And then to save face played another cup game that had no business being played
Jimothy Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 No, it was at half time. That was properly waterlogged so there was no other choice. We've only had one league game called off on 11th January. So why does Sheff Wed calling one game off make them tinpot, when Charlton have done the same? Idiot.
Lamby Posted 15 February 2014 Posted 15 February 2014 And a cup game. And then to save face played another cup game that had no business being played The FA Cup game got called off on the Friday so that doesn't count So why does Sheff Wed calling one game off make them tinpot, when Charlton have done the same? Idiot. They could of made an inspection yesterday.
