Soar Fox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Just turned on to watch the Everton game, heard Clarke Carlisle's voice and instantly turned off.
Stadt Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Just turned on to watch the Everton game, heard Clarke Carlisle's voice and instantly turned off.He tries to sound like a stereotypical commentator and it just doesn't work.At least Matterface is better than the last game he covered.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 I'm really unsure about the commentary today. I can't stand Townsend and Tyldesley and this duo are much more informative than the above. They sound drab though I'm sure the shit atmosphere makes them seem worse
Dan Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 This competition really is dead. Every atmosphere is like a friendly game.
Libertine Dream Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 I'd agree that Carlisle is better than Townsend but it's like opting to have dog shit thrown at your face instead of cow shit
Matt Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 ITV coverage is just simply shite overall, always has been and I can't see it changing anytime soon, would love live football coverage to go back to the BBC.

Matt Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 The FA Cup is next season Ohh good. And I guess the World Cup is being split between both BBC and ITV? Actually saying that lthough the Euro's wasn't was it?
21st Century Fox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 I was thinking the day, I wish channels would give you sounds options for matches. One option to have the match with all the ambient stadium sounds and no commentary and one with commentary. I find I pay attention to games a lot more when I'm not listening to verbal diahorrea and cliches.
Leicesterpool Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 So what are we hoping the draw to be Man City v Arsenal/Liverpool Sheffield Wednesday/Charlton v Nottingham Forest/Sheffield United Wigan v Everton Brighton/Hull v Sunderland

Sheff wed versus themselves.

AKCJ Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 And thats the neil taylor half of ft want us to sign? Prefer schluppy myself. Because Konchesky never does that.
steveherbe Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Because Konchesky never does that. Correct, he never does. And thats why I prefer schluppy.
AKCJ Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 Correct, he never does. And thats why I prefer schluppy. So I just imagined what he did at Leeds?
ScouseFox Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 You just know Baines would miss in a World Cup shootout.
bluesbrothers Posted 16 February 2014 Posted 16 February 2014 You can usually tell the standard of a club's fans by the amount of police on the streets in Sheffield on a matchday, and I can tell you it's thronging with them for Forest today - probably the most I've ever seen, including local derbies. Saw one simulating sex with one of the police horses earlier - probably some "banter" with a passing Derby fan or something. At least he didn't punch it, I guess. On the bright side, they're looking crap against a poor Sheff Utd. team at the minute, albeit ahead. They should be there for the taking on Wednesday, fingers crossed.
