Richard Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 In a good side, Scholes is a better player. But Gerrard has that ability to carry a team through his leadership and determination. Frankly Gerrard wouldn't have performed to Scholes' level in that United side and Scholes couldn't have carried that Liverpool side like Gerrard did.
Dan Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Yes and if Gerrard was born in Manchester he would have been a key player in one of England's most successful ever sides. That's why it's irrelevant. When there is absolutely no evidence of that what so ever.
Grandad. Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Scholes wasn't better than Gerrard though, I know it is all opinions but he really wasn't.
AKCJ Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Scholes wasn't better than Gerrard though, I know it is all opinions but he really wasn't. It's your opinion that Gerrard was better, believe it or not, but your opinion isn't fact. Something you have quite a lot of trouble getting to grips with. It's also an opinion in the minority here.

Instead of following me around the forum have a serious think about your life and educate yourself, you are thick as ****.

Fewer (the minority) people think that Gerrard is the better player. Capisce?

I said I thought your opinion was a load of crap, and I'm the bigger bell end when you go about insulting people personally? Go find yourself a nice Liverpool forum. A minority is 'the smaller number or part' so who, exactly, is thick as ****? Jog on.

Go find yourself a nice Liverpool forum. A minority is 'the smaller number or part' so who, exactly, is thick as ****? Jog on. It's hardly a minority when its 11 votes, a minority to me would be if there were 139 votes and only 7 people had voted for Gerrard. "Go find yourself a nice Liverpool forum"? I contribute a lot more on here than the pair of you clowns.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 When there is absolutely no evidence of that what so ever. You don't use trophies to compare individual players. Ryan Giggs has won 13 league titles. Gareth Bale has won 0 league titles. But Bale is better than Giggs ever was.
Stadt Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 The question is, "Who would you rather have in your team?" I'd choose Gerrard for that but I think Scholes was a marginally better footballer. For me it's about impact - Gallagher is better footballer than Lloyd Dyer but who would you rather have in your side? Gerrard is more capable of deciding a game but I'd say Scholes is/was better.

I love how you're even arguing with the English language now. Will it ever stop? For your information, a "minority" (to those who speak proper English) means a lesser amount of something. This is similar to the guy who thought that the word "several" meant seven. All you contribute is drivel that drives good posters away with your 'holier than thou' opinion on anything and everything. Wasn't your other account banned? Seems strange to just let you post with a different name if that's the case. Different name, same bellend.

I don't think that Bale is better than Giggs ever was YET, but he's got the potential to be, without a doubt.
ScouseFox Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Gerrard was better than Scholes like dunno why that's even an argument it's obvious

The majority of people contribute f**k all on here, seriously the threads on here you are arguing with me in, I started the threads.. So for apparently driving people away I seem to be drawing people into threads. Where as yourself? You contribute **** all apart from talking nonsense about football. I'm allowed to post because I clearly was banned for the most stupid of reasons, arguing with idiots like you got that great account banned.

Anybody willing to have a crack at translating this into English?
Guest MattP Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Different name, same bellend. Not getting into the argument but those four words made me piss myself Sorry Albert!
Grandad. Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Anybody willing to have a crack at translating this into English? If you can't understand that then you are even stupider than I ever thought. Absolute freak.

Grandad. Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 "So for apparently driving people away I seem to be drawing people into threads". Yes you disabled, you said I am driving good posters away yet when I start a thread people seem to come in them and post? Hardly driving them away. Have a look at the threads I have started.. WWE - massive thread. Paul Scholes or Steven Gerrard - Got people discussing two footballers, over a 100 posts. England's World Cup Year - Speaks for itself. Did England Accomodate David Beckham? - Another massive thread that got people talking. Done well for saying I speak drivel, seem to get a lot of people talking don't I? You? You're just that freak who comes into all of them threads and offers nothing but a terrible opinion (if you can even call some of them opinions) who people just frustrate.

You can't go around calling people "******" (using that word shows your true colours) when you can't put a sentence together. Starting four threads, two being on subjects that people are obviously going to take great interest in, is hardly an achievement. You spend your time in those threads arguing with any opinion that doesn't match up with yours. I moderate another football forum and a lot of good posters have left because of other fans coming on and shouting them down. Does it fill you with satisfaction when you call someone an idiot or a 'disabled' on the internet? I can't help but feel sorry for someone who would find that a good use of their free time. If you don't agree with someone's opinion, then why not go elsewhere?

If you don't agree with someone's opinion, then why not go elsewhere? So because people left on another forum that means I have drove people away from this one? After all that is what you said. When referring to you, I will call you whatever I want, simple as that. If you have a problem with my opinion and me discussing them with people, why don't you simply stick me on ignore? Like I keep saying to people who have a problem with a Liverpool fan on a Leicester forum, put me on ignore then you won't have to see what I say or anything else. I don't think you grasp a forum really, the idea is to discuss/argue people's debates, have a think how boring this place would be if everyone got along with each other. Do yourself a favour and put me on ignore, you won't get yourself so worked up then.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 Scholes by a mile See this is just ridiculous. For someone to be better than Gerrard "by a mile" they would genuinely have to be one of the best players to have ever played the game. And Scholes was clearly not that. Also, if Scholes was better than Gerrard "by a mile" he would not have lost his central midfield place to Gerrard and subsequently retired from England.
