Captain... Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 He should be booed he playing for the scum. What an absolute Judas, does he not realise you just can't move to certain clubs once you've played for Leicester. I really don't know if you and others are being serious, lets just have a look at some of the people that have connections to both clubs. Current Club Captain and best player is a Forest legend. BOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Best player to pull on a city shirt (arguably), Forest legend. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Best manager the club has had in recent times, part of the best Forest side ever. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Erm... Alan Rodgers
Dan Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 You obviously have a selective memory. He started off looking very good then went downhill, although I agree had Pearson stayed he could have done a job he is not in the same class as Morgan. I remember being at Palarse away 1st game under Sousa and Hobbs and Morrison were dreadful. Selective memory? Two very solid seasons with us (not without its blips) and a shocking run at the start of 10/11 in a side that were losing to everyone, with everyone playing badly. Weigh it up - two good years against two poor months.

Alan Rodgers I hate Wes Morgan, the scum can have him back I shall boo him also on Saturday as I do every game Frank Worthington never had anything to do with Forest. MON was a lucky manager with great players at the time and that has been proven since and he is another Forest scum and yes you're right I'm not being serious, I apologise.

Dan Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 Pretty much sums up Pearson's reign as well. This time round I'd probably agree but can't be too arsed getting into a discussion over that again.
Mack Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 He couldn't have been that bad in two years he won a young player of the year and player of the year award. He blew hot and cold, I mean, Wellens won all sorts of fans / fellow players awards and look at the dogs abuse he got. I think he suits a certain style of play, however I also think he was one dimensional, lacked pace and we've now got better players in our side. If he plays this weekend and Vardy is fit he will get ruined.

The bloke is an average Championship centre half, will do a job, quite big / pysical, but has no real quality above your average at this level. Morgan or Hobbs? Even Wasilewski or Hobbs? No thanks.
kingfox Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 based on? Performances, especially last season. All you need to do is look back at comments made on him last season. Him and Morgan performed a good partnership until he got injured. But he will probably be off soon anyway, so no point talking about him.
ADK Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 People have short memories. Fryatt gets a lot of ridicule despite the fact he was our top scorer for several seasons. The same people were saying how wonderful Beckford was based on his good league 1 record despite the fact Fryatt had an equally good league 1 record. Personally think Fryatt is about equal on ability to Dave Nugent but would have cost us less in wages to retain his services. Hobbs was a promising youngish defender who was no worse than Liam Moore when he was here who is getting massive praise at the moment. He is an above average championship defender who we fvcked off to replace with an expensive player of similar ability but worse attitude in Mills and an inferior defender in St Ledger. As soon as a player leaves Leicester we put on the blue tinted specs and declare how awful they were.
foxfanazer Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 All you need to do is look back at comments made on him last season. Can't judge his pass completion rate from comments on a forumBut he will probably be off soon anyway, so no point talking about him.Hope so
5waller5 Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 Who is number 2 I couldn't work that one out either ..... It's not Sir Les ferdinand and he's the best player to pull on a blue shirt for me!!!
Winnershfox Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 To me he is just another Forest player...end of !!!

I even said he'd not get into our side now (but that doesn't say a lot as Wasilewski & Morgan are two of the leagues best centre halves). Definitely better than average for me. The current defence is the only one in recent years better than the 09/10 defence which Hobbs was one of the main parts of.
kingfox Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 Can't judge his pass completion rate from comments on a forum Didn't say that did I. He can head a ball out of defence well, he is a defender who looks to bring the ball out of defence, his passing out of defence is good, he is decent with the ball at his feet. Problem with St Ledger is his positioning sometimes, he get's caught out of position, he is too slow to track back, which then leaves space & a good position for the opposition to score from. How many real errors has he made apart from that one against Bristol City on his debut, and his own goals this season. Not many.

Would take Hobbs over him amy day

dmayne7 Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 This is pretty much as close as you can get to how fickle people are when a player leaves. Hobbs was a magnificent player who, granted, wasn't the prettiest to watch or the quickest but he was extremely effective. Despite his lack of pace, I'm really surprised how his career has gone. I know he got injured at Hull but he's certainly better than most of their centre back options now, mind you Forest paid a wedge to get him on loan. Morgan aside, he is the best centre back we had since the Elliott/Taggart/Sinclair days. The best centre back in the Prem for the past decade shows that you don't need pace or great distribution to be a class defender.

I should have said the best player to pull on a City shirt in my life time, ie the last 20 years.

ADK Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 I'm still trying to work out who you mean? Stan Collymore?
Guest Col city fan Posted 5 November 2013 Posted 5 November 2013 Great player, absolute disgrace the way Sven bombed him out for peanuts and replaced with the likes of Mills and Bamba. No surprise there though, Sven was the worst thing to ever happen to this club. I'll give him a clap. Anyone who boos him is pretty thick Could not agree more... I've said it many times, Sven supposedly replaced Hobbs with Mills because the latter was meant to be a 'footballing defender'... What an incredible joke that was and I mean incredible. Jack Hobbs... A young, solid centre back who had performed extremely well with Wayne Brown during the previous season to be sold for peanuts... And then replaced with Mills, who cost the club 4.5 million? A truly truly ridiculous bit of football management. And Sven got a pay off when he left! Barmy...
