Man City Sold Out

If you actively intend to sell your ticket then I have a problem, intending to profit from others' passion by haggling up the price does seem quite wrong. That said if someone approaches you with an offer then I don't have a problem if you sell it if you think you're better off that way.

I'd have been prepared to sell my ticket to Forest or Watford for example if someone had offered me a lot of money for either of them but I didn't go about trying to draw in offers.

Well said Harry!

Its still wrong, just let them have it at face value regardless, supposed to be one of your own.

But I wouldn't sell it to them at face value. There was no way my Forest ticket was going for £32 last season as it was sold to me, I'd only let it go for much more than that.

If it was a spare then yeah I'd be trying to find a mate to give it to or someone else who I knew would make good use of it.

But if you actually cared about your fellow fans you would sell the ticket at face value regardless. Profiteering of fellow fans due to desperration isn't acceptable in my book. What you are saying in reality is that you would rather a few extra quid than to watch the team play in an important game. Not much of a fan in that case.

Think I've said it before but worth repeating - I think giving season ticket holders an extra five will improve the atmosphere no end. Will mean bigger groups of mates are together and given fans never want to be the 'only one' singing, this'll give everyone a timely boost.

Certainly the case with the extra 10 I took in SK1. They'll have a right go.

That may be a good point to be fair.

Mind you you'd hope it'll be brilliant regardless - but please LCFC, no clappers.

When you say I'm taking a few quid over watching my team we're talking at least 200. Games don't have an infinite value attached to them and there comes a point when you're just being silly to refuse certain offers. I love my club but they don't have total control over my financial decisions.

As I say I was never looking to sell my ticket but had someone approached me offering a lot of money I would have to question how much the game was really worth to me - it's just thinking rationally, that's all.

I know, but I wouldn't have sold my Forest ticket for £200. That game was worth thousands more than that.

But he wasn't actually intending to sell his ticket.

I know....

Here we go again, al this 'I'm a better fan than you' guff

Is it? How so.. Thought never entered my head. Wrong as per the norm eh pal...

He's not much of a fan because he would sell his ticket if offered enough.

You wouldn't sell a ticket for £200

From that you come over as believing you're a better fan.

Not surprised you seem to spend most of your time looking down on others.

Just the way I see it pal.

Jumping to conclusions, I only look down upon you.

I don't think I'd have sold mine for 200 if it came down to it, was just airing a figure. The prospect of missing what could be (and indeed was) the best game I've ever been too would've been too much.

Interesting topic really, how do you put a value of those kind of experiences?

To be fair, you've got a history of being a condescending, smug tosser, so I'm with Hackney on this one - and we hardly ever see eye to eye on anything!

I got offered £100 for my forest ticket, even though I didn't think we stood a chance of making the playoffs it never crossed my mind to sell it.

That experience and the memory i'll have from that day, I wouldn't be able to put a price on it.

Thanks Rich, really appreciate your input, always welcome from such a petty human being... Can't help yourself can you...

You're welcome Sven, and you misspelt 'pretty' - I'm a real looker, don't you know?

Well exactly, I'd always end up thinking 'what if we win' if offers were made just as you did. It really was a life experience and I'd have found it very hard to justify selling my ticket if it came down to it.

Impossible, as you are "indie" you will be a minging, unwashed, attention seeking daddy didn't love me type that looks like Beth Ditto. Move along now you are really boring..

You've got to draw the line somewhere though? If someone offered you £10,000 for your Forest ticket, would you?

My mate offered me hundreds for my Watford away..........
