topharry123 Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 If I were you I would E-mail Jim at fanzone and explain to him your situation. Players and staff get plenty of tickets and for games and are not always in use so there is always a chance. Good Luck! Thanks mate I might give that a try! If that doesn't happen, i'm sure i'll find a good pub in the City for it

indierich06 Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Tbf I've just seen a lot of people harping on about the extra people turning up and you were the straw that broke the camels back, I don't care if I'm not a "proper" fan but it's not rocket science that bigger games get bigger crowds. Yeah, and it's also not rocket science that it just might be a little bit harder to get hold of tickets for what is the biggest game of the season, funnily enough. I don't care about who's a 'real fan' or for what reasons some people can't get to games regularly, if you're not a season ticket holder or a member, then you run the risk of not being able to get tickets for the big, big games. You're not entitled to tickets just because you're a big fan, or you've been a few more times during the season, you have to take your chances along with everyone else unfortunately. And if you can't get a ticket, I'm afraid that's life. This whole '6 extra tickets for season ticket holders' thing is a smokescreen because a) most of them won't have taken up the full offer, with most season ticket holders I know taking two or three at the most and b) this game would still have easily sold out if season ticket holders had gotten an extra two or three tickets, rather than six.

Plus the extra tickets are going to people who have as much claim to them as anyone who was trying to get them when they'd gone on general sale.
indierich06 Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Plus the extra tickets are going to people who have as much claim to them as anyone who was trying to get them when they'd gone on general sale. Exactly. I think people who go to games regularly are also much more likely to know ST holders and therefore be able to get hold of tickets anyway - although I realise this is not the case for everyone. I know loads of ST holders, and none of them have taken the full allocation they were offered, most of them couldn't find people interested in shelling out right before Christmas where every penny counts, but the people I know who HAVE gotten tickets through ST holders have all been regular city-goers who didn't want to risk it at general sale - lucky for them. Like I said earlier in the thread, I've not been a ST holder for about 3 seasons now since I moved to London, but I get to around 14 or 15 games a season, some at home, some away, but I wouldn't expect that to entitle me to a ticket for this game, which is why I pay my membership every year. TBH, I've not even bothered with getting a ticket for this game anyway - I come home to Leicester for Christmas on the Friday and I'm not paying to make the journey twice in one week, and I've got more important things to spend my money on at this time of year. Give me Forest at home over that bunch of overpaid twats anyway.
sk3since03 Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Oh dear this is where all the people who haven't got a ticket blame all the season ticket holders!!
Topman Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 I have 12 tickets in the SK2 block, some singles and some 2 seats together, basically scattered around the SK2 block, anyone willing to swap tickets if you have 5+ seats together, willing to pay £5 extra per seats! 12 in a row would be great, so i will pay £60 extra for that, just my mates are bunch of girls and wants to seat together!
Manwell Pablo Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 I'm really gutted too and also know people who haven't been to a single game this season who will be going to this My son nearly cried when I told him I couldn't get them, I'm so fed up with the online and phone systems they are useless! Work as a primary school teacher so couldn't go to KP today or stay on phone forever. If anyone out there has two spare tickets in any area of the ground for me and my 10 year old please send me a message. Why didn't you just pay £25 to become a member if you were that keen to get a ticket.
Zingari Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Why didn't you just pay £25 to become a member if you were that keen to get a ticket. NO !!! that's like submitting to blackmail !!
Bert Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 It's great we'll have a full house. Shame it's not like this every game.
Babylon Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 If you're not a season ticket holder or a member, When I first started going down I didn't know one person without a membership, everyone did it knowing very well should a big cup game come along, or should we get to wembley, you were pretty nailed on to get a ticket. I appreciate it's more expensive than it was back then, but at £25 it's not bad given you get discounts of tickets.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 I'm not a member and get to games when I can. This has convinced me to become a member next year.
blue army 1988 Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Im a ST holder and last season didnt get ticketa for the watford playoff games which imo are much bigger games than this. I queued up for ages and was gutted when i didnt get one but i wasnt on here complaining and i no that non-st holders got some of those tickets. I have to miss games as there moved for tv, miss out on things like the pie and pint and have the mrs complaining when i have to postpone things for the football. So its nice to see that LCFC are putting the fans who have given up their weekends and evenings to come and see their boys win, draw and lose on cold wet nights and the occasional sunny afternoon.
Karljohn Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Feel sorry for the fans who can't commit to a ST but still goto most games, nothing wrong with them getting priority for having a booking history over someone who doesn't go but gets in because his mate could buy 6.
Babylon Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 I'm not a member and get to games when I can. This has convinced me to become a member next year. The 5 ticket membership is pretty decent value for people going to just a handful of games a year.

If they go to most games then they should really have got a membership to a) save £2 a ticket and b) get a ticket for this game.

GingerrrFox Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 Stop moaning FFS you weren't arsed when you missed out on Wigan/Barnsley/Huddersfield..... so get over the fact you won't watch Man City. But hey if we get promotion this season just think of all the games you can moan about if you don't get a ticket again, Liverpool/Arsenal/Man Utd/Chelsea.... DayTrippers.
adam1 Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 This is my first game this season. Just a typical glory supporter I am. And I managed to get FOUR tickets. A lot of people out there must be furious.

My mate went to all three of those games but he is annoyed he didn't get a ticket for Man City.
BrummieFOX Posted 19 November 2013 Posted 19 November 2013 My mate went to all three of those games but he is annoyed he didn't get a ticket for Man City. Haha, exactly. No one can have a collective go at any particular group of people! Everyone is in different situations, whether they've been to every cup game and couldn't get a ticket for this, never go and got one etc etc. The club might have given slightly less tickets per STH but they didn't and I'd say that on the whole, the majority of people who really wanted to go have got one. Even if it was 2 tickets per STH, some would have been left annoyed.
NathanBlueFox Posted 19 November 2013 Author Posted 19 November 2013 someone has offered me £40 but did the right think and sold it him for face value!
