What has Liam Moore done to get dropped.

A young lad has one slightly off game so you drop him forevermore? Right out of the 'how to build confidence in young footballers' pocket guide that one. Meanwhile Nugent, Drinkwater et al can have bad game after bad game and never get dropped. Pretty clear Pearson was waiting for Moore to slip up just once and then he was right in there making the most of it, trying to knock him down a peg or two after he started getting a bit of attention in the national press. This is how Pearson works. He is the big dog at the club and nobody will threaten that even if it's to the detriment of the team.

Well no, he'll play again this season of course, given how many appearances he's made this season I think it's fair to say Pearson's happy to have him in the team. But a young player at any club will tend to me given less trust than the experienced players if they play poorly. Pearson's no anomaly in this respect.

Neither Moore or Wasilewski are right backs. Moore had a couple of average games there, Wasileskwi was very good in the meantime as centre half, as was Miquel. Pearson didn't want to drop either of them, so dropped Moore to accommodate Wasileski and Miquel.

It's De Laet's spot when he's back fit anyway.

Don't think there's any pressure from Arsenal for him to play Miquel. He had a good half against Ipswich after Moore was poor and has been playing better than Wes since, along with the fact Miquel is gonna get released by Arsenal at the end of the season.

Wow Bert you amaze me you have so many contacts or is Arsene wenger your long lost dad.

Who is David Moyes going to sign in jan so I can get a fiver on it plse.

Bert a little advice stick to City you don't get all that right you will only look stupid with comments like that.

It's a big big world outside the KP and dangerous.

He's a local and not on loan from some massive club basically.

People say Was came in and did well.

1)  Why did he come in? There was no good reason for Moore to be moved from centre back. He was our best player until then.

2) Wasilewski, as far as I know, is not Franco Baresi.

3) Wasilewski has since been moved to right back. So why Miquel (a loan player who hasn't played much) ahead of Moore?

4) Are Wasilewski and Miquel immediately better players because they came from big clubs or had a fairly impressive CV in another country?

5) Isn't this the kind of thing that Sven was rightly slated for (ie, Bruma in ahead of Vitor)?

6) Moore was capable at right back, Wasilewski is hopeless there.

There is no good reason why he should have been phased out, but he has been.

Young players should be nurtured. They need the benefit of the doubt more than anyone. A young player has a bad game and you just give up on him? How many great British players were treated like that? I'd wager in the old days managers had faith in them and that's how they developed into legends.

Experience Shmexperience. Has Wasilewski looked shit at right back for 2 games or hasn't he? This is the question. How old or how foreign he is is not important.

It's not a coincidence that Moore has dropped out whilst Pearson's newer signings; Wasyl and Miquel, have stepped in.

To me, they were brought in on reputation rather than form.

He should have trusted a young player who has rapidly improved over the last few months. His choice not to hasn't worked.

"just" your opinion, think that IS right,  Wes and Was are more than mobile enough, solid, virtually unbeatable in the air, composed with little or no hoofing the ball away, both look for and pick good passes, not only our best centre half pairing but probably the best in the division.

In that case the question has to be asked why they were split up.

Dropping Moore from the CB position for Wailewski is one thing.

But then when he move Wasyl out to RB questions really have to be asked. It's almost like he wants to get Moore out, because Wasyl wasn't kept in his best position either. Which player is the rotation supposed to benefit?

Wes and Was In the centre were more than good enough but after we got caught out down the channels against Forest Nigel changed it and we have looked fragile across the back.

Was isn't a right back. Two inept performances there in the last five days show that.

Aside from that though I think we have pretty good strength in depth at the back and some good combinations. All this without SSL and ZW, both who I would gladly offload at the drop of a hat.

Any suggestion SSL and Wes are our best pairing at the back is completely ignorant of the nightmare few games they had together at the back last season (which, is consequently the only time they have played together.)

If anyone needs dropping at the minute I'd argue it has to be Wes Morgan. He was piss poor against Wednesday and Brighton and so far this season he has looked a shell of the player we saw last season as a rock at the back. Personally on current form I'd have RDL back in at RB because he's our best option but then a CB pairing of Wasyl and Miquel. I can't help but think that Wes being so vocal about his contract situation has took his eye off the ball on the pitch.

I'd agree, but whenever Morgan doesn't play the defence looks like some disabled sunday league team.

Was Morgan any worse than other players at Brighton?

He couldn't do anything about giving away the penalty, Konchesky got beat easy then Marcin missed a header.

We won when he didn't play earlier in the season at home. Players no matter who they are need to know they aren't excused from the bench. He was awful yesterday.

We're playing Burnley though not Birmingham (?)

In hindsight we should have started Moore hut when you're 2-0 down, subbing a defender for a defender is a waste of time.

There should be no hesitation putting him back in against Burnley. I'd be tempted to drop Morgan but as he's the captain it wont happen. Was has to make way for me.

As if you could label Moore being dropped for a few games as 'giving up on him.' Massive exaggeration. Anyway, I'm mostly against Pearson here, I only spoke out because I thought Moose was wrong to say he was dropped for no reason whatsoever.

He's still our best centre half though.

And who wasn't bad yesterday? You could easily pick Dyer, Konchesky, Vardy and Wood out as well.

Two points... Moore is young. Pearson has shown he likes him and he'll play again.

Wes should not be dropped. He's our best centre back.

For the last time... defenders will make errors if they aren't supported. Defending is a team game. See Savage on last night's match of the day.

As Davie G said Miquel is in beause he's a left sided centre back.

He can pass as well and maybe available at the end of the season.

De Laet will get his place back so it's Morgan, Was & Moore for the other centre half role.

Morgan for me, if he can get back to playing as he can, he hasn't been great lately.

It wouldnt surprise me if pearson isnt playing moore so as to take him out the spotlight. With the way he was playing at start of the season im sure bigger clubs were keeping tabs on him and with the transfer window approaching he may of been involved in transfer speculation. Maybe once january window goes pearson will start playing him again.

I would like to see him back in the side as he hasnt rlly done much wrong

Do you seriously believe Pearson is stupid enough to lower the profile of one of our better players by dropping him?

Here's an idea, let's not get promoted then we'll keep all our players.
