You don't play for a half decent European country 60+ times if you are sh*t. Love the blokes commitment, his organisation on the field and how he physically bosses players. Having said that, he's a better centre half than right back.

He's polish. I've waited years for a Polish player at city. My dad's nearly in tears when he comes on. That's enough.

And he's ****ing nails. Passion innit.

Wouldn't mind seeing him as a center mid in away games.

His passing ability is actually one of the best in the side.

Good away performance today, rode our luck at times but as the game wore in we restricted QPR more & more & obviously saw the game out for a cracking away win, the first of the season at QPR.

I know RDL is returning from illness and we've loads of games coming up, so it was probably with an eye on this that NP subbed RDL for Wasilewski (also RDL seemed to be losing a few far post headers from floating ball into our box)

But wow, Wasyl seemed bombscare today for those 11mins on the pitch

Did a reckless two-footed lunge, which was that bad the opposing player was luckily several feet away from him else a penalty would surely have been awarded

Then not long after Barton was red carded after an elbowing event he goes and shoulder barges Benayoun potentially giving a penalty away & if that wasn't enough did a Barton-to-GTF-esque elbow across his face for good measure

The only other time I've noticed Wasilewski was when we were pushing for a well deserved winner Vs Burnley when he was needlessly giving fouls away when we had corners, """""that not only could we have scored from,""""" but his fouls lead to Burnley breaking from free-kicks.

I've not seen City much over the past couple of months for various reasons, so I'm not going to slate the lad and would like to know what people think?

Is Wasyl the real deal Polish international - or more a disaster waiting to happen?

I don't think you need to worry about that. We are as likely to score from corners as sep blatter is to win sports personality of the year, from the deliveries I've seen today and at home against milwall. Thank god me make up for this in every other area. And Wasil is a decent squad player, had a blinder at milwall home but did look like he was gonna break someone in half today. But he is vastly experienced and he no doubt gives it his all.

I think he is quality tbh, quite a few people seem to have no patience at all. It says a lot about our fans when supporters of a player's previous team get behind him more than we do.

Love the irony of this post and your name.

:xmaslaugh: Before you critise someone, at least watch the game - he did nothing of the sort, he shielded the ball and Benayoun ran into his back.

Spot on - we need a nasty ****er in defence - love the bloke's passion - when he comes on as a sub he sprints into position as though his life depends on it. Great bloke to have around the squad.

He's in a catch 22, the available and likely starting place for him is at RB, where he played for Anderlecht I believe (?) but ultimately looks shite there which will let De Laet back into the team. At CB he has looked very good but its a strong position:  Morgan is nailed on, which leaves him competing with an in-form Moore and talented Miquel who complements Wes well.

Benayoun is a skinny little rat anyway. He looks like he hasn't had a good feed for years

Probably why he's gone from playing at the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea to a tinpot club in QPR.

It's a sad reality of the game today that we're debating whether his challenge on Benayoun was a foul, of course it wasn't, in other eras Benayoun wouldn't have even gone down!

Wasilewski is a centre back as is Liam Moore. Both very good centre backs. Moore has done nothing to worthy to be dropped though.

Yep. Its pathetic.

He hasnt cost us a goal yet has he? He is class and we should be glad that our back four looks so strong. If Moore or Morgan get injured we have Was and Miquel to fall back on.

Yes he might not be as quick as he used to be and one or two challenges might be rash but he is a well capped international. We havent even seen him have a run of games yet.

he is an awful right back but a solid centre back. unfortunately for him, Moore and Morgan are our best pairing so i cant see him getting much of a look in this season unless one of them gets injured

Well both goals at Sheffield Wednesday came from him allowing Wickham time on the ball in the box.

He's not good enough to be RB now - but he has a future here as a CB. Moore and Morgan is our best partnership comfortably IMO, but him and Miquel are good back-ups.

Has anyone noticed that Moores turning into a fat bloater?

Seems a very blood-and-thunder centre half which could be bang on what we need for certain games in this division,  yet to be convinced by him at RB, though. I still rate him as great business assuming a fairly minimal outlay.
