Waghorn back out on loan or move?

Waggy walked out of the ground, jumped into his car and drove off tonight about 1 minute into the game. Looks like he defonitely won't be featuring again for the foreseeable future.

It would be interesting to know his reason for going, taking this on face value it looks pretty poor from him.

Its not the first time he's done it. I was late for a game last season and he did exactly the same thing

Actually I think it is a shame for the lad. He came here as a young man and played really well for the first season we had him on loan. Then his loan finishes and I don't know who really signed him but at the time it looked like a bit of a panic buy to appease the fans. So I don't think he was a Soussa purchase and then it all went belly up and we were very poor. Sven played him out wide if at all and even so he got called up to the England under 21 team so he can't have been that bad.

By the time Pearson came back his form had dropped and despite the odd excellent match has generally not been good enough. It is time he moved on for his own good. he's still decent enough to have a reasonable career in the game and with the right manager and in the right side.

If he leaves good luck to him. As far as I know he's always tried his best for us it just hasn't worked out as we all would have hoped.

If true he's finished for sure.

But if it gets round he walks out cos not picked he may find it a little hard to get a new job.

Surprised NP has not got rid or left out on loan if he has attitude like that.

sooner he's gone the better for us and him.

Hope it's permanent.

No use him just coming off the bench for us time to time. He's 23, he needs games if he wants to develop further. He isn't good enough for our side.

Any idea on the fee if it is permanent? Heard it was around 500K. Good money for a player out of contract this summer and would cover the Mahrez deal if it was the reported 400K fee.

Available for £450,000 according to the Merc.

eicester City could be willing to listen to offers for striker Martyn Waghorn, the Mercury understands.

The 23-year-old is attracting interest from a host of clubs, including Blackburn, Millwall, Wolves and Doncaster, and City could be willing to let him go for £450,000.

Waghorn signed for City in 2010 in a £3million deal from Sunderland, but has seen his first-team chances at the club limited this season.

He has already enjoyed a spell on loan at Millwall this season, scoring three times in 14 appearances.

He made only 11 starts and 17 substitute appearances for City last season, and has featured just twice since returning from Millwall.

City’s former young player of the year, Waghorn will be a free agent in June.
