Waghorn back out on loan or move?

450k would be good for all concerned.

We get some money, Waghorn gets a fresh start and an end to the season playing, whoever signs him gets a decent player for this level or just below...

I hope for his sake Waghorn picks the right next move. I'm not sure Blackburn is it but at a lower half Championship side or a League One side I think he'll flourish again.

Hopefully we get a bit of money back for him.

I like Waghorn and with a run of games being played as a striker he'll do alright, just a shame it never worked out for him after signing permanently.

He was very good in the 09/10 season and it was horrible seeing him laying on the ground after missing his penalty at Cardiff.

blackburn would be a good move

Really?!

They've already got a few strikers (granted Rhodes might go but someone's got to be willing match what they overpaid for that to happen) so he won't be guaranteed a place. I think Waghorn performs better when he's the centre piece and feels appreciated as such as well, he won't be that at Blackburn. Half a season in League One banging a few in to help Wolves up would do him the world of good.

I can see Blackburn getting into financial trouble soon, The Venkys have gone very quiet but they're still spending like FFP isn't on the horizon whilst not having the support or infrastructure to back it up.

I hope he goes for his own sake. I think he needs to push on & a new environment might help him. Wolves could be good, with a chance of getting back to the 2nd tier again. I've wanted him to be good for us, and he's threatened at times to return to the form of the player we had on loan, possibly had we not signed Wood(sssss) last year he might have continued to progress but I think NP sees the real waghorn and sadly he's probably just not consistently good enough.

I reckon he'll go for nothing. *If* he has fallen out with the club, then he may just go somewhere on loan and then 'do a Jack Hobbs.' Surely it's out of our hands???

If I was waghorn I would choose wolves out of that lot despite them being in league 1. They are likely to come straight back up again, he'd be playing under a good manager in Kenny jackett and with wolves looking to offload Doyle and Celtic sniffing around Griffiths I'm sure he'd get first team football. That gives him half a year to bed in before, it's more than likely, wolves will be in the championship again.

Also £450k is a good deal for us too. Time to take the money. if he didn't even make the bench on Friday the he clearly isn't getting another chance. Better than him kicking about or on loan and getting nothing for him at the end of the year.

Once he turns 24 later in the month teams can pick him up for free without having to pay compensation so I doubt we'd get anything for him at all, if clubs had any sense

We could always loan out Waggy to Sheff Utd with an option to buy him in the summer for say 200k, sadly we won't get that million pound back which we paid for him. We could even offer them Jeff Schlupp aswell for just a loan deal! be a good club for Jeff aswell.

He's out of contract in the summer FREE to anyone.

Simply not good enough and never has been in a Leicester shirt. Couldn't give a toss where he ends up although why anyone might have involved him in a £3m deal is beyond any sound basis that I'm aware of. .

Agreed.

Sunderland led the way and showed others how easy we were to rip off.

We were ripe for it under Sven and it carried on.

Whatever people think of NP the fact we don't get ripped off now is one feather in his cap they can't take from him.

I don't detest Wolves and they're not in the same division as us. I approve, there are clearly some stupid bottom half Championship managers.

What does Sven have to do with the signing of Waghorn for 3m?
