Ah, there's some funny stuff in those threads.

To be fair, tons of threads from August 2013 (or at least May 2013) on backwards host plenty of amusing misconceptions and arguments.

Should we get promoted this May, I'm very tempted to bring back a whole collection of bewildering brags from the Pearson Out brigade at the time for all of us to enjoy.  :D

I kinda assumed you would...

Nothing to declare, the players I thought weren't good enough have been moved on or at least don't play, and I've supported the rest. Never at any point wanted Pearson out.

Risky if we don't though......there's a shed load more in the other direction

I'm not an "I told you so" man, but I like my work in those threads MC.

Stay.

We have made progress this season, we've cleared a lot off the astronomical wage bill we had and we will finish higher than last season, we've replaced a lot of old has beens with some young players who have their best years in front of them rather than behind.

With some stability and time we will develop into a good team and with a couple of additions should come back stronger next season.

I rather take a chance on that than go through another summer of upheaval and another possible Paulo Sousa situation. Not to mention any new manager has to get us up and save 21 million for FFP.

Where do you take those 80% from, I wonder?

80% of the Foxestalk community voted in favour of Pearson, nine days after the 3-2 away win at Forest and two days after the playoff exit against Watford.

60% of the Foxestalk community voted in favor of him to stay in a poll conducted a week before the away game at Forest:

Doesn't this just show that despite what people think most of our fans actually do seem to be patient and understand situations?

The most vocal are not always the majority.

Unless you are spectacularly unambitious, spectacularly stubborn - or spectacularly patient and willing to wait until Saturday - then the arguments for Pearson to stay are hopelessly flimsy. And, I'm quite sure, these voting figures are not at all representative of Leicester fans, but rather of a set of people who are struggling to admit that they were wrong, on this forum.

I really am loving those threads.

I'm not saying that we are going to turn this season around and by the looks of it we are gonna finish with a whimper rather than a bang. But if we by some miracle finish in the playoffs and gain promotion l can't wait to abuse all you bandwagon, kick a man while he's down, "loyal fans".

That's right I'm talking about Pearson. All season he's done a massive job building solid foundations for us to progress after the awful mediocrity we had before. We've been playing well all season hence being top 6 regulars, if our away form was anywhere near as good as our home form we would be challenging Cardiff.

The players are who the fans should be looking at for someone to blame. It's inconceivable that a group of professional footballers can just give up and betray the trust of their manager. We have a group of spineless individuals (Kasper, Wes and a few others excluded) who just don't care enough about the ambitions of everybody around them to put a bit of hard work in when it's not quite going right.

The abuse Pearson is copping right now, it's a free country, you can say what you like but just remember if it does turn around you're all a bunch of hypocritical, fickle "fans".

Don't want to blow my own trumpet. BUT.

This one is a cracking read, Col City Fan is a great poster but he's had an absolute mare in declaring Zola a master tactician compared to Pearson.

oh bugger off!! I cant get EVERYTHING right can I?? lol

To be fair, Zola was last season. God knows what went wrong there!

lol

Finally and in my defence, I did say I was gonna give Nige another season and take it one game at a time..

Christ! I hope we go up now, if not we're all fooked! lol

To be fair you do say at one point you would be prepared to give him the start of the year

First prize to Seenitall though, some beauties from him in there.

Basically this (except I didn't want McDermott).

I never wanted to want Pearson out. I had the utmost respect for what he had achieved at the club, but as anybody who was at Barnsley will tell you, that was such a heartless, pathetic, toxic display that I couldn't see a way back and was surprised he made it to the next morning as City manager.

Pretty much my feelings, didn't want Pearson to fail or "hate" him because I admire him as a bloke and a manager, but I just thought that game showed he couldn't turn it around and we were heading backwards. But he has so far and fair play to him, just hope he can finish it off now.

You did but I'm afraid that was another case of you posting both sides of the argument in an attempt to make it look like you can get everything right. Because you also said...

I don't want another season of the same. I want a manager with just more talent than Pearson has.

The Pearsonites are demanding more of the same, which is bizarre given what we've seen now for months.

Time for a change. A new philosophy. A younger manager with fresh ideas and fresh ways of playing.

Yes and at the time I meant every word.

Its all hindsight isnt it. Who knows what another manager could have come in and done? You? Me? No-one really.

Its a bit petty going back through the threads and deliberately trying to trip people up. Unless its done in jest like MattP has done. Then its funny.

lol

For instance, I did post right at the start of LAST season (find that one out if you wish) that I didn't expect us to get promoted LAST season, but actually THIS season. Why I changed my mind about Pearson was not due to the slump, but the manner of the slump which, by anyone's book, was dramatic..

If we go up "that Barnsley game" will be the new "that Sheffield United game".

Because Kitch just bullshits, bullshits, bullshits on this forum. Just like he thinks 'fatigue' isn't a real thing despite having scientific sources posted to him he still argued. The same as he'll probably argue this.

I don't think I've ever seen him put his hands up about anything tbh.

When matty James played the first few games last season I thought he was too weak. His return to the first team last year proved me wrong.
