MPH Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 You can't take a 5 point lead into half time and expect to hold Wales off as Wales always have a try or two in them. Wondering if the English indiscipline in the first half will cost them.... Time to see what both teams are made of...
Finnegan Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Well that's game over then really. Come back Steve Walsh In all seriousness, though, to have this fixture - two years running - heavily influenced (I won't say decided, that's unfair to both teams) by the scrum laws being awful is silly.
Bert Posted 9 March 2014 Author Posted 9 March 2014 England the best from start to finish. Defended brilliantly to stop Wales scoring a try. Hopefully France can have a small win against Ireland and we can destroy Italy.
MooseBreath Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 at the rugby fans trying to be football fans by singing that cheesy swinging harriet song over and over again Also whats the point in tv replays if the ref doesn't even bother listening to the recommendation?
Sparky Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Pretty routine for us. It'd be nice to win the title but grand slams and world cups are what it's all about. kingfox Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Good I was wrong, must stop being negative. Ben Morgan was brilliant, as were the second row. Farrell kicking everything, Brown running around all over the place, and another try for Burrell. Decent.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 GSTQ sounds 10 x louder at Twickenham than it does at Wembley.
Guest Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 nice win. Both kickers kicked well. England simply the better team all round. I like Luther burrell he has a nose for the line. Manu and Burrell for the World Cup. Scrum half has been exceptional this tournament.

The ref watches the replay on the big screen and makes a decision based on that, that's what he means by not listening to the recommendation. This is quite a new thing. I quite like it, personally, I think it works. Nigel Owens has adopted it very well.

The video refs are usually preponderous buffoons, firghtened tomake a decision.
Nalis Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 England to beat Italy by 20pts (more chance of Italy beating England than this 50pts bo!!ocks...) France to beat Ireland by 5 England to win the championship. Even a narrow France defeat would show what progress we have made under Joe, its all about building for the World Cup. A lot of people doubted Trimble's selection but they were wrong. Maybe, just maybe, we are starting to distance ourselves from the ridiculous provincial bickering when it comes to Irish team selection. Healthy competition at the back too.
Agent Fox Posted 14 March 2014 Posted 14 March 2014 I had a tear in my eye on Saturday. I imagine I'll be on floods this Saturday. Praise be to BOD

I'm sorry but this is an awful France side and if you can't get fired up for BOD's last game (your last win in France is still his debut?) you can't get fired up at all. He deserves to go out with a Championship win and he really should, to be honest. You're good enough and you should deliver. Ireland by seven to ten.

Ireland are far too good. Ireland by 15
Nalis Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Maybe from a neutral perspective but you gotta understand I'm looking at it from an Irish point of view, which is naturally pessimistic lads!! Also, our record in France is woeful and France are one of the most unpredictable teams in World rugby. Obviously I hope I'm wrong!!
kingfox Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Jonny May is bloody annoying, cut inside all the time very predictable. He and Nowell aren't ready yet.
Bert Posted 15 March 2014 Author Posted 15 March 2014 GSTQ sounds 10 x louder at Twickenham than it does at Wembley. That's because everyone sings it at Twickers.
Guest Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Jonny May is bloody annoying, cut inside all the time very predictable. He and Nowell aren't ready yet. Nowell definitely not ready; May has been okay through the tournament. Farrel has been very good these last 2 games. Scrum problems for England but we could get the 50 pts during the last quarter

Nalis Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Solid England performance so far. Handling has been awful from Italy so far however they certainly look better in the past few plays. Italy will tire so I expect a 2/3 try blitz in the last 10 mins so therefore, the next 10mins are crucial...

Scrum problems for England but we could get the 50 pts during the last quarter The play just now summed up my point, May has just ran across most of the pitch, then get's smashed and put on the back foot. Nice to see Nowell get a try, but definitely not ready, anybody could of really finished that.
Nalis Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 This Italian team has gone, 3/4 tries to England methinks. Could have got England at 6/4 for the championship, would have been easy money! EDIT - Spoke too soon!!!!
MPH Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Its amazing how well England can play when they can be bothered..... Nice to see Tuilagi back playing aswell....
