Chilwell_Fox Posted 25 February 2014 Posted 25 February 2014 Really open championship now. Those results blow the competition wide open
Guest Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 England have gotten better every game. Truly insiprational against the Irish. Game of the tournoi so far. Enjoyed the Scotland Italy game. feel sorry for the Italians though. They've deserved better than the wooden spoon this year. France losing and playing so badly was great, Welsh winning was a shame. Just need to stuff the sheep to make this a good tournament for England. France will need to find the "real" team to beat the Irish.
Finnegan Posted 8 March 2014 Posted 8 March 2014 Could and should be Irelands to lose now, unless one of us really hammers the other tomorrow.
Finnegan Posted 8 March 2014 Posted 8 March 2014 Could have done with Scotland holding on and France having their big come back against Ireland. Would have essentially handed the tournament to tomorrow's winner! That said, we can (probably both) do the French on points difference and Ireland are shit in Paris so we'll see!

Not going to matter after today.
Finnegan Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Not going to matter after today. I meant England and Wales. Today could go either way and if the French do us a favour next week we could be looking at a decider here in Twickenham.
Nalis Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Solid effort from us yesterday and a great way to send BOD off in his last home game. Still think we will lose in Paris tho... I felt for the Scots, they put it in a great performance. Hogg is standout. Both games were better than I thought they were going to be although the 2nd half of the Ireland game was a bit of a procession for the neutral. Todays game will be tense I feel, England by 2.
Finnegan Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 England by 3 for me Possession is everything today, if you win the set piece / breakdown battle then you should play Ireland's game. Kick deep, force us to play, out-kick Priestland and win off penalties in our half. If you try and play any sort of expansive game I think we'll win. You've not scored a try against us in three attempts for a reason. We're bigger than you and better defensively. Warrenball has its limits though and we've lost creativity. If the channels are solid against Roberts and North we tend to run out of ideas. If our pack play like they did against France, I believe we'll win.
notnow john Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 I think Wales have a more dangerous team but still hoping for a result from England's Injury ravaged side.
Tielemans63 Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 I've got this feeling that the Welsh pack will give the English a bit of a lesson. I think the Welsh are going to get a big win - poss by 10 after pulling away in the last quarter.

kingfox Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Have a feeling North, Cuthbert & Halfpenny are gonna run England ragged.
StanSP Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Have a feeling North, Cuthbert & Halfpenny are gonna run England ragged. Well North fvcked up just then . What was Engand's try like? Missed it .
Finnegan Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Priestland is ****ing dog for Wales. Has been for two years. I don't understand the loyalty to him when Biggar has never put a foot wrong for us.
leicesterisme Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Priestland is absolutely killing Wales, his kicking is embarassing.
Bert Posted 9 March 2014 Author Posted 9 March 2014 England making these look doggo. Wales would be down and out without Halfpenny.
Finnegan Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Priestland is absolutely killing Wales, his kicking is embarassing. It was similar against Ireland. And Italy. When we hold the ball in hands and smash through the phases we can make slow but good yards and there's always the chance of a linebreak. When you kick the ball away you're never going to score. Ever.
Finnegan Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Wales would be down and out without Halfpenny. Not really, he's not kicked anything that wasn't fairly routine. England's discipline hasn't been great. Their speed and confidence getting through the phases is very good, though. If you can play that game and not make errors you can always be dangerous. I really don't get our tactics though. I don't know if it's just Priestland playing poorly or if that's the instruction.
kingfox Posted 9 March 2014 Posted 9 March 2014 Halfpenny's ball striking is so clean, lovely clean action. Nice kick through by Twelvetrees for Burrell's try, Ben Morgan carrying well. Can all change though of course.

We've handled it well enough though. Mike Brown has been very good. Yep agree with discipline. That's where all your points have come from in effect.
