simpmeister Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Have been thinking about this today, how much do you lot think season tickets will be next season *IF* we do manage to gain promotion to the premiership? much of an increase from the last few seasons?
Soar Fox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I was talking to a Derby fan at work and he said that they've already released their prices for next season. £450 if they renew now and if they get promoted they get half the money back. Bit of a strange way of doing things I think, they could potentially be selling season tickets in the premiership for £225.

If we did the same thing we would have 25,000+ season ticket holders next season.

Guest MattP Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I think you'll be looking at a serious increase, wouldn't be surprised to see £200 minumum on a seat. Dealing with people here who rank Watford at home as a game where you should pay £40.

Derby have a 1 in 4 chance realistically but our club know we're probably going up and they'll milk us for all we're worth (ooh that sounds dodgy). Still, considering the amount of matches I've been to this season it makes sense for me to get one next.
Stadt Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 It'd be a good if the owners froze the prices (that'd be applause worthy) but I can't see that happening.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I'd be dissapointed if we hit £600 but I'd expect to pay £500+. Mine in L Block cost about £440 this year I think.
Bayfox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 If mine goes past 450 i will seriously have to calling time on this full time city lark. I go to support my team not watch man utd or city etc. So why should it go up. The tv deal should more than help the club survive.

It's no wonder they get bigger crowds than us.
6ups 6downs 2 cups Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Well considering we will have 4 less games even if they 'froze' the prices that's still a 20% increase!
GingerrrFox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 The tickets in J1, J2 and J3 will be interesting the prices in that area are already reaching mid Premier League level.
elangLCFC Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I can understand them putting prices for new STH up as there will be more demand. However, if they start charging people getting renewals who have been with the club in seasons in lower leagues then I think it'll be an outrage. Should be rewarding those who have supported through previous campaigns.
Fox92 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I'd image dramatically rise. To be honest, if the owners charge £25+ for games in the second tier, then imagine the prices to see the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

Munshi Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I like your system can you get a job at the club. I've had a seaso since 94. What discount you giving me for 20 years. Way too long, you get charged extra.
Bayfox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Way too long, you get charged extra. once you pop......
Bert Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Well considering we will have 4 less games even if they 'froze' the prices that's still a 20% increase!Which is what I can see happening. You're still paying the same as this season, but you get 4 less games although you're watching us in the premier league. I would be happy with that though I think. It would be nice in this case that we'd get a free cup ticket included or something like that.

AndWhat? Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Considering how pathetic the half season ticket prices were, I imagine a dramatic price increase.

AndWhat? Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 About the half season tickets, how much are they now? Can't remember exactly, but think it was about 40 quid less than a full season ticket.
Munshi Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Can't remember exactly, but think it was about 40 quid less than a full season ticket. That's poor considering how many home games we have left.
