I thought his brother was called Danny? I've played football against him a few time on Sunday mornings. Also their dad has referred my a couple of my games on Saturdays.

you could be right there actually. haha

I met Paul Henderson in the haymarket once before the Hartlepool game in League 1 and he gave me his gloves just before he warmed up :)

Also served Martyn Waghorn a Christmas tree when I worked at Argos! And David Nugent came in once!

Went to see American Hustle the other week (good film 8/10) at cinema de lux ,and my mate had some pick n mix which came to like £8. We were laughing as we have some history of dramatically over spending on pick n mix, so I asked the guy what the record is and lo and behold our very own David Nugent shipped £40 on sweets.

I was in the home team dressing room couple of weeks ago, if that counts as a link. Just inside the doorway is a yellow line you have to walk over. The owners are bhuddists and had it put as it supposedly locks in positive energy and brings good luck. And supposedly keeps out bad energy. They didn't put one in the away dressing room. Also the home team dug out seats are all heated. Away team ones are not!

lol

Was there a portrait of the Thai king in there too, by any chance?

As for random links, my uncle used to go fishing with Alan Cork when he was Mickey Adams' assistant. And my mate got a lift home with Darren Kenton and Paddy McCarthy after a game once. Not sure how that worked out, but apparently they were sound lads.

Mike Stringfellow used to lodge with my auntie, Gladys Wood. He got me an autograph book with the entire city side in it. She once promised to bring him over to our house but never did.

Also met Mark McGee at a social function at the ground, didn't like him. O'Neill was a nice guy, Pleat was a bit creepy and Sven was a bit full of himself

Once saw Keith weller at stoughton air show

I cleaned Julian Joachims car one summer holiday

Saw Matt Elliott down the park another summer holiday when playing footy with the lads

Both happened in Countesthorpe

Michael Morrison was my neighbour (he had a fine Maserati but could never understand why his missus had an old 2002 BMW) until he went to Charlton (still owns the place and rents it out)

I cooked for Milan a few times when I used to work as a chef, he used to come to the pub I worked at regularly and offered to buy a pub for my old boss once. The annoying thing was that he always gave free tickets for his box to staff at the pub and as the only actual city fan there I never got one of those tickets, instead my Arsenal and Villa supporting workmates got to go - we were too understaffed in the kitchen for me to go! At the same place I cooked for members of Kasabian, Englebert and Martin Johnson.

A girl I lived with at uni went to school in Burnley with Matty James, she showed me some old photos with them both in, I think they were prom pics or something (she didn't go with him though!)

My sisters boyfriend and some of his mates claim to have had drinks with Vardy at some club in town. I took that one with a pinch of salt, although we know he likes to party!

Went to school with Gary McCallisters kid. He was tubby and not very good at football.
Paul Dickov once bought furniture from my dads shop. He tried to get the price knocked down a fair wedge

Great family friend is Josh Low haha, Stowell lives near me so when I get the train up to Leicester I sometimes see him at the station-top bloke. Chris powell once hung up a phone call to speak to me in a hotel.

Exchanged thumbs up with Lloyd Dyer coming out of a Scunthorpe away game a few years ago, and played football with James Schowcroft's son for "Leicester City's Football In The Community" about 10-12 years ago

Another claim to fame is that in that same Scunthorpe away game I sat in the home end right at the back, stood up briefly when we scored only for Graham Taylor to tell me to sit down!!

I used to run a sports shop in Market Harborough and had Micky Adams and Muzzy Izzet as fairly regular customers; both seemed genuinely nice guys! Not city players but Martin Johnson and several other Tigers players also used to pop in :)

One of my former students dad was Sven's chauffeur and the son used to baby sit for Sven's girlfriends kid. He always reckoned that Sven was on the phone when he went round once and when he came off the phone he told him he has signed Matt Mills.
