flintshirefox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Anyone listen to the Top Tenuous on the Simon Mayo show on Radio 2? Let's see how tenuous we can get with this... Here's a couple for starters..... 1. I've got a mate in Lutterworth (a Cov fan) who used to live on the same estate in Leicester Forest East as Neil Lennon, back in the glorious MON years, and used to share the same cleaner. 2. Mike Whitlow used to live in Lutt and used to go to the same chippy as me, though I never saw him myself.

NewquayFox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Yup, Chris Evans show, i've gad a couple of City ones on there over the last few years....
flintshirefox Posted 6 February 2014 Author Posted 6 February 2014 Ah sorry. I only listen to those two shows on R2 ;-) Lovely cleavage by the way!
TJB-fox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Stayed in the same hotel as the boys (when sven was boss) when we played Bristol city. Once missed the same train as Milan and Top at Swansea (when the deal to buy us was nearly completed) and we ended up in the same pub.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Met Gary Lineker in the red light district of Amsterdam
flintshirefox Posted 6 February 2014 Author Posted 6 February 2014 That reminds me. Ali Mauchlen borrowed my pen to sign autographs at a pre season game vs Lutterworth Town! Met Gary Lineker in the red light district of Amsterdam I can't believe Saint Gary would have anything but the noblest intentions.....
Deucalion Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 My step-daughter's ex-boyfriend's PA was Lloyd Dyer's mum. Â My colleague at work's son was at the West Brom academy with Chris Wood. Â They shared a room and he still goes around there for his dinner sometimes.
TrentFox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Nearly bought a barn conversion that, until his heart attack, Clive Clarke was going to buy. He'd had work done on it but was still at first fix. Weird going round seeing how suddently life can go in a different direction. As it did for me. Had it valued and mortgage in place but decided I'd get divorced instead. Should've bought it - would have been cheaper than a divorce !!!!
smudger63 Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 I`ve literally just seen Mehrez and associate (mate, brother ) they were speaking french anyway, at Aldi on Aylestone Road. Wouldn`t accept his credit card, so his associate had to go the shop over the road to get some real money!

AndWhat? Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 My mum used to work in an office in Leicester in the 70's with a lady who was apparently making her way through the whole city squad.
Voll Blau Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 My aunty taught Muzzy to drive. My mum's cousin went out with Andy Peake. Darren Eadie drove past us on the A14 sliproad when our car broke down at Ipswich away. Tommy Wright (the younger) used to buy 20 nuggets off me regular as clockwork. I once gave Waghorn the "ay up" nod at Leicester station not realising why I recognised his face. Saw Yuki Abe walking down Granby Street with his translator once during the height of the 2011 "riots".
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Played at the KP with Paul Ramsey and Ali Mauchlen in a charity game
Bayfox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 My mother in law worked the stef and scott oakes mum at kwik save. On the way to cardiff for the play-off game. Milan stopped at the same services as us. Met matt heath at a 50th in essex last year. Not tedious I know. But random all the same. neil lennon is godfather to my wifes, friends little boy. frank sinclair called me a willy puller once in soar point after I sent my wife to ask him, muzzy, lennon and guppy for autographys. I didnt like to interrupt their game of pool. thats all I think. did meet knocky on train from london after charlton game but again more a random.
Voll Blau Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Played kwik cricket with Richard Stearman too. Decent little left-handed batsman from what I remember.
65RosesFox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 When I was a kid I use to live a few roads down from Lee Philpott and Simon Grayson when they lived in Whetstone in the 90's. My mate fell off his bike outside Grayson's house he came out to see if he was ok and invited us in to wash his cut and bandage it but my mate said no. I wasn't impressed. Also Sir Steve Walsh follows me on twitter. And my mrs knows matt mills fiancé (matt elliott's daughter) and jack hobbs mrs.
LeicesterBran Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 My Mother knows Emile Heskey. I used to know his kids. Our under 18 striker Keenan King, used to live near me and his Mum, is friends with mine and my Aunt.
pleatout Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 I once stood next to Graeme Cross in the gents in the exec boxes at filbert street. Â Not sure if I should really say that, though. Â Jock Wallace said something to me when my Dad asked for his autograph. Â I have no idea what he said though. Â I'm not sure it was english.
rico Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Girl i used to work with went out with Mike Whitlow and when Notts County beat us 4-1 at Meadow Lane 93/94 season,i gave him a lift home because he didnt want to travel with the team
El Sieffsi Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 My Dad used to play cards with Lineker and Willie Thorne. SSL gave me an apologetic wave after he pulled up sharp as I crossed the road..must've been late as there were plenty of fans walking to the ground..pretty sure he didn't play that day. Bumped into Yuki Abe and his translator at Bradgate Park.
rico Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Also some girl i knew used to see Frank Sinclair and me and my mate got her mobile phone and sent him some txts pretending they were from her!
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 My Gran constantly says I was born in the same hospital ward, at the same time, as Willie Thorne's twins. The auntie of the lad who used to live next door but one to me when I was kid used to live next door to Julian Joachim's Mam. I once saw Noel Whelan in Little Chef.
