eastendfox Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 I don't rate Trippier over De Laet. Ings and Vokes is a lethal forward line though. Drinkwater, James, and Vardy should all be in contention as well.
MikeyT Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Schmeichel De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky Dyer James Drinkwater Knockaert Vardy Nugent Subs: Logan, Philips, Wood, Mahrez, Wasliewski, King, Schlupp
Silverdaz Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 You could almost make a case to have an East Midlands X1 in the championship: Schmichael Morgan Hobbs Keogh Drinkwater Reid Dyer Bryson Nugent Vardy Martin Subs: Darlow, Moore, Lascelles, Lansbury, Knockaert,Cox, Hughes
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Can't not have Ross McCormack. There's a few at Brighton that seem to get overlooked, too - Ulloa, Buckley and Lopez are all fantastic little players.
SomalianFox15 Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 The championships best eleven is Leicester, were top of the league.
Kitchandro Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Which is meaningless when discussing the Championship 11 given they'd only have to be the 2nd best player in their given positions at the club in question, as opposed to the 2nd best in the league minimum. You've gone very weird in recent days not sure I like it. On subject this would be hard to do, it'd depend on whether your considering this season or a player general ability, McCormack for example is having a great season but isn't a patch on Rhodes or Austin for me, the latter would obviously not get a look in when basing it on form due to his injury. Ok I'll rephrase that. They'd be the first names on the teamsheet in any 11.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 I don't think there is a clear best XI Schmeichel Trippier Morgan Moore Konchesky Knockeart Drinkwater James Dyer Ings Vardy KONCHESKY????????????? yer-avin-a-laff !!!!!! Cresswell is the best LB in the division by a country mile. Konch probably isn't even in the best 10 LB's, And for those mentioning Krancjar as one of the best CM's this season... supremely talented yes but not playing that brilliantly this season. As much as I love Vardy, he wouldn't get in ahead of, say, McCormack or Ings if we're choosing the best player in each position. If we're choosing a "balanced" side then he'd get more of a consideration IMHO
tommyh Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Heres mine: GK- J CESAER (QPR) RB- ANYA (WATFORD) CB- MORGAN (LEICESTER) CB- EKSTRAND (WATFORD) LB- CRESSWELL (IPSWICH) RM- KNOCKAERT (LEICESTER) CM- DRINKWATER (LEICESTER) CM- AUSTIN (LEEDS) LM- EAGLES (BOLTON) CF- RHODES (BLACKBURN) CF- DEENEY (WATFORD SUBS: SCHMEICHEL (LEICESTER) TRIPPIER (BURNLEY) BYRAM (LEEDS) HUGHES (DERBY) RITCHIE (BOURNEMOUTH) INGS (BURNLEY) MCCORMACK (LEEDS)
Finn Claw II Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Almunia Trippier Shackell Morgan Creswell Knockhart Drinkwater Bryson Reid Ings Rhodes Picking the strikers is hard, I like Martin, Austin, Vardy, Vokes as well as those in the first 11 I'd pick Reid over Dyer but it is pretty close
Vlad The Impaler Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Jamie Vardy is the best player in this league. Been saying this for quite some time now, nice to see someone who agrees!
Xen Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Tough one Green Trippier - Morgan - Hobbs - Cresswell Drinkwater - Reid - Bryson Ings - McCormack - Vardy Subs: Schmeichel, De Laet, Shackell, James, Lansbury, Rhodes, ALF. Too many good strikers in this division to set out a 4-4-2 as the 'best XI' I reckon. So many teams have either a top-class front pairing (i.e. Burnley) or one star man (i.e. Leeds/QPR), that its hard to pick the best 2 or 3 for a squad. To be honest, I don't know enough about individual's playing styles to make an XI up that might work. This'd be more like a 'team/squad of the season' line-up instead I think.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 My team would be GK. Kasper RB. Trippier CB. Morgan CB. Moore LB. Cresswell RM. Knockaert CM. James CM. Drinkwater LM. Hoillett ST. Vardy ST. Ings Pretty much our team with players I'd like to see us sign if promoted
Kitchandro Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Heres mine: GK- J CESAER (QPR) RB- ANYA (WATFORD) CB- MORGAN (LEICESTER) CB- EKSTRAND (WATFORD) LB- CRESSWELL (IPSWICH) RM- KNOCKAERT (LEICESTER) CM- DRINKWATER (LEICESTER) CM- AUSTIN (LEEDS) LM- EAGLES (BOLTON) CF- RHODES (BLACKBURN) CF- DEENEY (WATFORD SUBS: SCHMEICHEL (LEICESTER) TRIPPIER (BURNLEY) BYRAM (LEEDS) HUGHES (DERBY) RITCHIE (BOURNEMOUTH) INGS (BURNLEY) MCCORMACK (LEEDS) This is surely last season's.
AKCJ Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Schmeichel Trippier Morgan Dunne Cresswell Reid James Drinkwater Dyer Ings McCormack
Langston Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Heres mine: GK- J CESAER (QPR) RB- ANYA (WATFORD) CB- MORGAN (LEICESTER) CB- EKSTRAND (WATFORD) LB- CRESSWELL (IPSWICH) RM- KNOCKAERT (LEICESTER) CM- DRINKWATER (LEICESTER) CM- AUSTIN (LEEDS) LM- EAGLES (BOLTON) CF- RHODES (BLACKBURN) CF- DEENEY (WATFORD SUBS: SCHMEICHEL (LEICESTER) TRIPPIER (BURNLEY) BYRAM (LEEDS) HUGHES (DERBY) RITCHIE (BOURNEMOUTH) INGS (BURNLEY) MCCORMACK (LEEDS) Deeney?! Fat gopher.
Father Ted Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Schmeichel Trippier Hobbs Morgan Cresswell Knockaert Drinkwater James Dyer Vardy Ings Subs: Kusczak, De Laet, Hill, Adomah, Barton, McCormack, Vokes.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Schmeichel Trippier Morgan Hobbs Cresswell Reid Drinkwater Bryson Ings McCormack Vardy
Swalker Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Given Trippier Morgan Hobbs Cresswell Knocky Drinkwater Reid Krankjar Austin McCormack Ings/Rhodes/Vokes/Moore/Green/Kasper/Matt Phillips/James/Vardy all close
Devonfox1884 Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Heres mine: GK- J CESAER (QPR) RB- ANYA (WATFORD) CB- MORGAN (LEICESTER) CB- EKSTRAND (WATFORD) LB- CRESSWELL (IPSWICH) RM- KNOCKAERT (LEICESTER) CM- DRINKWATER (LEICESTER) CM- AUSTIN (LEEDS) LM- EAGLES (BOLTON) CF- RHODES (BLACKBURN) CF- DEENEY (WATFORD SUBS: SCHMEICHEL (LEICESTER) TRIPPIER (BURNLEY) BYRAM (LEEDS) HUGHES (DERBY) RITCHIE (BOURNEMOUTH) INGS (BURNLEY) MCCORMACK (LEEDS) Has Cesar even played for QPR this season?!
Carl the Llama Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Can't believe I've seen Cesar who never plays and Almunia who is full of errors (and I don't just mean one freak goal from Wood) get given the nod ahead of Schmeichel by some of our own fans. It has to be him or Given who's having a great year too. I'd go for:Schmeichel Trippier Morgan Shackell Cresswell Knockaert Drinkwater James Reid Ings McCormack Subs: Given De Laet Moore Bryson Ulloa Vardy and for the last 15 minutes Kevin Phillips.
TrentFox Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Can't believe nobody has offered up Lascelles and Morgan as a central defensive pairing. Would be superb. Forest could have had that - would almost be unfair!!
smudgerfox Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Surprised McGoldrick has had no mention - scored a lot of goals in an average side. James Vaughan too until his injury. I'd go Kuszak Trippier Moore Morgan Cresswell Marney Drinkwater Krancjar McGoldrick Vaughan Ings Schmeicel Ekstrand Anya James Lopez Grabban Austin
MajorDanby Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Team to win the league: Schemichael Trippier De Laet Moore Morgan Cresswell Konchesky Knockaert James Drinkwater Dyer Vokes Vardy Ings Nugent Corrected On a serious note however, as much as I hate to say it, Andy 'not so fat' Reid has got to be in anyones team. Every time I have seen him play this season he has been fantastic
deanolegend1989 Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Schmicheal Trippier Moore Hobbs Cresswell Knockeart Drinkwater James Dyer Vardy Ings
TYNMAN Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 I know he is a dick, but Joey Barton is a level above most players on the pitch. He has vision, spreads the play and his break up work is brilliant. His down fall is his attitude, he drags the game down too far and gets petty plus he has no pace.
