brisfox Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 I went with my blind friend,Geoff, to the game. Couldn't get tickets with City fans so got 2 in block 10 in the Trent End. I have the following comments, Forest fans are the rudest I have ever met. We got shouted and sworn at when we were walking to the ground by middle aged Forest fans City fans were a real credit, well behaved and very loud. Forest fans were moaning all night , especially when we equalised Forest don't have a special disabled area The City players were winding up the Forest fans when we scored the first by making gestures at them (Take a bow, Lloyd Dyer) Darlow should have been sent off for trying to kick Vardy leading up to the first goal Billy Davies is a mardy git. It sure was fun when we equalised, even though we had to sit on our hands We didn't get rumbled because Forest fans are a bit thick. Forest fans have given up on trying to catch us. The attendance was pathetic at 24,800. I suggest that next time we play Forest that we restrict the away support to 2100, same as they did to us. Thoughts?

brisfox Posted 20 February 2014 Author Posted 20 February 2014 Absolutely, since birth. He is also physically disabled
Guest MattP Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Forest don't have a special disabled area They had three stands worth of it last time I was there.
yorkie1999 Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Did you tell him where you were sitting beforehand.
Charl91 Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Don't take this the wrong way, I'm generally interested; why would a blind person want to go to a football game? Wouldn't he be better listening to it on the radio? Infact, how would someone who has been blind since birth even become interested in football?
Langston Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 They had three stands worth of it last time I was there. Brilliant.
brisfox Posted 20 February 2014 Author Posted 20 February 2014 I asked Geoff why he likes football. He likes the atmosphere and I give him a running commentary on the games. Funnily enough, he is also a big fan of snooker. I asked him how it is possible to enjoy that. He said he likes to hear the click of the balls. Strange guy!

He'd probably have an orgasm if he went to listen to football abroad if he goes to games in England for the atmosphere.

AndWhat? Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 oh yeah the 2nd tier of Belgium football must be enthralling !!!! Royal Antwerp FC Belgium 2nd tier.
brisfox Posted 20 February 2014 Author Posted 20 February 2014 Geoff goes when I get him a free ticket. He's really cheap (sorry Geoff). I like to take him and he much prefers my commentary to the one on the radio. I try to describe the ground to him, he likes to hear the other fans comment on the game. For him, being there is like compared to listening on the radio is like a sighted person watching a live game compared to one on Sky. Being there is so much better.

MooseBreath Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Royal Antwerp FC Belgium 2nd tier. One suspects an abundance of flares might not provide the most fulfilling experience for a blind person.
brisfox Posted 20 February 2014 Author Posted 20 February 2014 He made a hand gesture that replicated a single handed sexual act
AndWhat? Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 One suspects an abundance of flares might not provide the most fulfilling experience for a blind person. Well I doubt they are just standing there in silence!
