crisp monster Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Taking the family to Florida at Easter and don't get back untill 6:30am on the 19th - going to have to be a trip up on the train - don't fancy driving up from Bedford with matchsticks in my eyes and going to have to find a bar or two for the Sheff Wed and Reading games whilst I'm there.
Native Fox Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 Part of the reason we fell last season was our irregular schedule, not home Saturday game for 3 months - No rhythm
Russell sprout Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 If you want 3pm kick offs every sat and no games on telly then go and watch lower league football as it will only get worse next season, will you all moan we've got man city and Chelsea on a super Sunday fixture,I doubt it,or the burden of travelling to Southampton on a sat night because it's on sky on a freezing cold December night,I'm sure sky will become convenient then?not to mention the away you won't get tickets for?

With the Prem the Kick-offs are more fixed. For example you get, Saturday 12:45's Saturday 3:00's, Saturday 5:15's Sunday 13:15 Sunday 16:30 Monday 19:45 And then the occasional Tuesday or Wednesday. No Fridays or Thursdays or unusual ones like that. All the ones above are fairly reasonable and don't require people to take days off work, miss games etc
Russell sprout Posted 20 February 2014 Posted 20 February 2014 It really won't. We'll have to wait and see, It's funny how when we had fulham and man city in the cup folk were asking whys it not on the box, I personally hate the early say ko,much preferred the evening game given the option, away games on the box are a financial bonus to my bank account

goose2010 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 If we do go up Sunday Lunch times kick offs will be a nightmare for a lot of people who play sunday league half of our team are season ticket holders in our team will have to leave at half time
Master Fox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Dollar Dollar bills y'al ... This money will go nicely towards a new world class striker next season. Great for armchair fans like me too. Thanks Sky.

For me that wouldn't be a problem, in fact it would make my life easier as there would be a better chance of a ticket But I understand the frustration people have with games being moved (when I was a season ticket holder it was annoying) but seeing it from another side, its quite nice to watch City on the box, and even some of my friends (spurs fans) have started to "support" City, (and will be coming to Doncaster at the end of the season) due to the coverage of the games on Sky.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 The biggest bastard is that there are no London to Leicester trains that weekend, so I'm going to have to get out by 6:40 to make the Megabus for this one.

Championship games are on Bein Sports over there.
Tommy G Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Maybe all those moaning won't want any of sky's money in our transfer kitty then next season? Maybe you should also cancel your sky subscriptions and also never go to a mates/pub to watch sky? It's happening so deal with it I'm afraid, it's such a first world problem to have. All sorts worse going on in the world than a few matches being moved. The lack of flexibility in some peoples lives is laughable

You might struggle to get a kid into a bar in the US though, it isn't Mallorca. So you might have to miss it regardless.
ousefox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Think I will have to find a place in Seville showing the Reading game - that will be a challenge!

All sorts worse going on in the world than a few matches being moved. The lack of flexibility in some peoples lives is laughable What is laughable is your view that people shouldn't be able to complain about being inconvenienced because people are getting soaked in the South West or because the Russians are fvcking up Ukranians left, right and centre. As an accountant I imagine you have a fair bit of flexibility in your work. You know you are going to be working Monday to Friday, you get a set amount of annual leave where you can take half days here and there. Same for me. Then there's a sh1t load of people who plan their shifts around going to the football. Sky pop up with 5 weeks (sometimes less) notice and expect people to be able to change their plans. Brilliant. The fact is that the world is changing to become 24/7. 80 years ago when football was just on Saturdays, most people worked 5 days a week and then maybe Saturday morning. There's now a massive percentage of people who have to work weekends and their bosses may not be as flexible as LCFC seem to be for Sky. The selfish attitude of your ilk pervades British sport and it fvcking stinks.
