smudger63 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Can't remember who we were playing but it was a few years back. It was a relegation battle game and their fans were singing 'going down, going down, going down' Our fans repliedby singing 'So are we, so are we So are we' Even their fans applauded Leeds away, last time we were in the Prem.
smudger63 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Sung in the Kop in a friendly with Tulsa Roughnecks in 1979, who included a few ex city players in their side, including the footballing God that was Keith Weller, to the tune of "The First Noel" Weller, Weller, Weller Weller, He is the king of Filbert Street. Never a truer song sung by our fans. In fact given that we still sing about Iwan Roberts,we should still be singing it today, out of respect to the great man!
FuriousFox46 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Hull away a few years back when we lost 2-1 and Pearson first game back. Hull fans sung "there's only one greedy bastard" and the whole Leicester end sung at some one young fatty "there's only one greedy bastard" the kid was only around 18 but he took his top off and wobbled his flab around all game. I was in tears. Fair play to him and I will remember that I remember them singing "Boring Boring Leicester" at us and then us going from 1-0 to 2-1 up in the reverse fixture in 2 minutes of play and singing that back sarcastically.
muzzycomeback Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 You're ****ed, you're ****ed, when Barry Hayles gets your girl, She'll never walk again
Vlad the Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Those were the days my friend We thought they'd never end We'd sing and dance forever and a day We'd live the life we choose We'd fight and never lose For we were young and sure to have our way. La la la la la la laaa It's been so long since I've heard it.
Nalis Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 The terraces, a song for you, even if though it doesn't make sense. I know this wont be popular but I find WYS is a bit cringe. Only we can make what is supposing to be an uplifting song sound depressing as fvck...
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 The terraces, a song for you, even if though it doesn't make sense. I know this wont be popular but I find WYS is a bit cringe. Only we can make what is supposing to be an uplifting song sound depressing as fvck... Possibly because its, 'the terrace sing a song for you' Anyone disputing that needs shooting mine is probably 'There's a circus in the town' Or, 'bring on the Sunderland'
Danizen Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Got to mention the Morecambe fans for this belter, vs Chelsea about 6-7 years ago: Carefreee, wherever we may be, we are the nouveau Chelsea FC, so please sit down so my wife can see, I've been coming here since 2003.
broughtonblue Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Quite liked the simple but to the point ditty sung by the anderlecht fans.... We all agree, millwall fans are w@nkers One i don't like, sung by everybody... Were by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen. Really?

Voll Blau Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Quite liked the simple but to the point ditty sung by the anderlecht fans.... We all agree, millwall fans are w@nkers One i don't like, sung by everybody... Were by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen. Really? I agree. All football songs should be 100% accurate, rhetoric free descriptions of the club in question.
AndWhat? Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Quite liked the simple but to the point ditty sung by the anderlecht fans.... We all agree, millwall fans are w@nkers One i don't like, sung by everybody... Were by far the greatest team, the world has ever seen. Really? I dont get this argument?? You can say that about every song we sing!
broughtonblue Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 I dont get this argument?? You can say that about every song we sing! Are we really the greatest team the world has ever seen? Doubt it.What other songs can it be attributed to?
Danizen Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Are we really the greatest team the world has ever seen? Doubt it. What other songs can it be attributed to? We have half a chance against Sunderland but Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid would absolutely twat us.
65RosesFox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Are we really the greatest team the world has ever seen? Doubt it. What other songs can it be attributed to? Iwan living next door to Joachim in that council flat I never would've let Gradel sh@g my wife I doubt Yuki would've ever ate my dog
AndWhat? Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Are we really the greatest team the world has ever seen? Doubt it. What other songs can it be attributed to? See examples above.

Vlad the Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 And I wouldn't tip-toe through the Trent end with a sawn off. I'd stomp through arcade style blasting anyone in red who moved shouting 'caaaaaaaaants'
Vlad the Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Glad I'm not on my own Vlad.........love it, great memories I wish we could get it going again it really is a great song for crowds to sing, and who else sings it?
Weller in Tights Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Always liked Bertie Mee says to Bill Shankly Have you heard of the North Bank Highbury. Shanks says no, I don't think so But I've heard of the Leicester, Boot Boys
65RosesFox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 Possibly because its, 'the terrace sing a song for you' Anyone disputing that needs shooting mine is probably 'There's a circus in the town' Or, 'bring on the Sunderland' The worrying thing is, I hear so many people singing the 'The terraces, a song for you' Why would you sing something confidently that doesn't make sense?
Vlad the Fox Posted 22 February 2014 Posted 22 February 2014 In Leicester's fair city Where the girls are so pretty I first set my eyes on sweet Molly Malone As she wheeled her wheel barrow Through streets by the narrow Singing (Clap clap, clap clap clap) Leicester. I might have got the words wrong, I'm sure someone can correct me.
