I went with saving Treviso as I don't care much for Neve as a character.  Lucanis on the other hand is far more interesting.

I then read back some reddit comments about blocking progress to the platinum for saving Treviso as it locks you out of the Shadows faction shop to gain points but it seems possible to work around this in the crossroads(?) I think.

I'll worry about it when I've exhausted all the quests.  I don't want to miss anything major and then struggle to find a way back to do everything to 100% so I'm taking my time.  Currently at 30 hours of game time on this too.  Can't see it taking less than 60 to platinum.

I saved Neve's place, cant remember the name. I went for romance with Neve so it was an easy decision.

It took me 64 hours to platinum. Its not a difficult one to get. You complete all the side quests and it pretty much naturally gets it for you. Though i had to play the final mission twice to unlock the last trophy (for the secret ending). I missed out on 1 item which would have meant only 1 play through of the final mission. Probably added 1 extra hour of play.

Bought 3 new PS5 games this week.

Split Fiction, Assassin's Creed: Shadows and Atomfall

Played Split fiction with the Mrs 3 nights in a row, nice cozy couples game. Enjoying it so far.

Just about to start playing AC: Shadows. Will report back in a few days 😁

The siege of Weisshaupt just completed.  For this mission alone, I cannot understand the underwhelming reviews the game received across the board.  One of the best missions of any rpg I've done, and I've gone through a load of those.  Ridiculous.

Atomfall - very nice looking reimagining of the Windscale disaster by Rebellion.

Really want to like this game and a lot of its mechanics appeal to me....but my word on Xbox Series X it's so buggy, needs a proper patch and soon!

Ah I am playing on PC and it seems fine, but love the ‘local’ feel of it.

Not noticed any issues with the PS5 version either as yet. Enjoying the game so far

Just downloaded this earlier, will give it a go later

Just finished Atomfall, well at least got one of the six possible endings. Not a completionist so likely won’t do many more.

Totally my bag, very good.

Started playing through Ghostwire Tokyo yesterday and today

Quite fun so far, and in like most games I tend to go off exploring so not really progressed much in the story lol

Getting hooked on The Bazaar. Steep learning curve with many moving parts, but really well-crafted game which offers incredible flexibility and so many different strategies. Love the asynchronous PVP as well. For a dad with small kids I can effectively rule out any live PVP games.

I'm now at 67 hours with no end in sight.  Just done the two Dragons and now going through the character missions once again.

I am trying to find every last collectible though and never skip dialogue.  I did drop the difficulty also because enemies tended to be spongy rather than difficult which was testing my patience.  Similar to AC Odyssey, did the same with that.  Now that's a little better I can focus more on trying to get this finished quicker.

I still can't understand how this game reviewed so badly.  Might give Star Wars Outlaws a go after this since that's another that reviewed worse than it actually turned out.

Atomfall. Very much my kind of game, but they dropped the ball with the console release's pretty egregious bugs. The audio drop out was particularly annoying and wasn't patched quickly enough.

The AI was also absolutely terrible at times. Like, two console generations ago bad.

Very cool game world though, lots of personality and the "leads" system is honestly better than most standard quest trackers. Overall, nice to see devs trying something a bit different.

A decent 7/10.

Working my way through the Far Cry collection. Starting with IMO the best Far Cry 3.

I tried Far Cry: New Dawn recently and grew bored within a few hours. It's fine for a pick-up-and-play for 15 mins, but nothing more than that.

It's a shame that these games have just become bloated map-marker-chasing collect-a-thons. Huge, yet completely soulless open worlds and absolutely abject characters and storylines. The RPG mechanics are just crap too.

The third installment was peak Far Cry IMO.

I got through Far Cry 5 but the ending really annoyed me.  All that effort for nothing.

I then went onto New Dawn and, as you say, got bored of it after ploughing the hours into 5.

Far Cry is ok in small doses, much like most Ubisoft games.  You have to time it right with what you've just finished imo.  I wouldn't follow an open world game with an Ubi version for instance.

Back to DA Veilguard which is brilliant imo.

My PS5 has had a rest in the last few weeks. Had to stop the late night gaming all the time. When i do go on it i am playing Blue Prince. An interesting little puzzle game that i am still working my way through. I want to try and do it without any guides.

Just waiting for the next big game to come out tbh. Finding myself just scrolling through the library with nothing jumping out at me

Just finished the main story, took me about 20 hours or so - probably ended up being about a 6.5/10 for me

The combat is quite fun at the start, but after a while it does get a bit repetitive when it is always the same kind of enemy

I actually found some of the end game fights to be a lot easier than the ones from the middle/earlier on in the game

Not bothering with the dlc mode or with getting all the collectables for the platinum

Not out yet, but the Oblivion remake/remaster is meant to drop fairly imminently and I can't wait. Never really got into Skyrim for some reason but absolutely loved this one (Morrowind still better as no difficulty scaling that plagued the "newer" ones).

I did the opposite. Oblivion was a bit before I had really played any RPG's and I put a fair bit of time into Skyrim. I look forward to getting involved in this new release. Hopefully it captures the vibe I felt with Skyrim, whilst bringing things reasonmably up to date.
