Never trust a man that doesn’t like Alan Wake 2. 10/10 game.

I finished Alans section and went back to Saga's section but then other games have took my interest. I may return to it but honestly i felt like i was forcing myself to continue.

I am trustworthy honestly lol

I’ve just done a second replay after 2 years and won’t tolerate a bad review of it 😂

Has it got much crossover to games like DayZ? I've played many many hours of that but the twitter account was taking about the "shoot on sight" issues that new games like this have. Do I have to play with mates or is it common for random interactions to be cooperative?

Very common in my experience - playing solos I've had more friendly/neutral interactions than hostile ones, though I do expect that to change over time. Trios is very different.

If you play solo interactions are usually (but not always) cooperative. You can scope people out most of the time but some people shoot on sight or betray you. Most people ive run into in solos are cooperative. In duos its 50/50 and in trios you're usually fighting (although the people im with are quite aggressive to others - others play it differently). Annoyingly its 30 pounds but I've enjoyed it more than anything similar by miles. Most similar game is hunt showdown although I never played Tarkov. Happy to have some games together if you get it in!

Additionally, if you're in solos or duos, people often help each other against an aggressor.

Im now onto Arc Raiders. Really enjoying it. I love the fact you cant just run around like a nutter. The Arcs are a nightmare.

So far ive only been killed by 1 person. Everybody else i have come into contact with are happy to team up in order to escape.

I keep seeing that. I'll scope it out and see if it works on me steamdeck.

As i have progressed through the game i am now seeing more and more people wanting to simply kill. Most people are still helpful and want to leave you alone or even help you take down Arcs. But i think that's the games best quality. The jeopardy of it. Do you risk your best loadout or stay conservative.

It can completely change the way you approach situations.

Also i got to witness my brother, who had picked up some epic grenade, take down a monster Arc (a Bastion) in 1 blast. Was like watching a movie. Him running behind it, planting the grenade and diving out the way of the blast in one motion. Pure Cinema lol

Frequently find myself going back to play Hitman, love a puzzle game where the answer is always murder, but what the hell is this?

Not watched the trailer, but if there isn't a bit where Agent 47 has to find his target in a lookalike competition by playing "will the real slim shady please stand up" on the pa system and making the target stand up, then that is a criminal missed opportunity of game design.

Probably my only issue with the game - and what holds me back from playing it more - is QOL / UI related gear fear. I don't actually mind losing my stuff, it's not the thought of loss that makes me paranoid. It's the effort involved with replacing it.

The game desperately needs the ability to save load outs that you can quick-craft/buy from the menu. Y'know, I've got an inventory full of stolen Toros, I've got my Anvil and Venator blueprints, I can craft and level up replacements for my gear I just can't be arsed spending 20 minutes doing it all only to go in a round and potentially lose it in seconds. That's the part that does me.

I’m tempted. Did you get it?

I got it.

It makes Hollow Knight look like The Sims. lol

It's absolutely amazing of course but my word is it infuriatingly hard at times. The bosses are brutal and there's too many really ridiculously frustrating gauntlet rooms in which you just get absolutely ****ed from every direction.

Incredible game though. "Just one more try"

Im at the hospital, so not much further than yourself. I gave up on Alan Wake 2. Just didnt have any drive to go back to it. Just found it too weird and felt like the game was trying too hard to be creative and different. Silent Hill 2 does exactly what it sets out to do. Eerie game that makes you want to get to the next save point and you go, 'that's enough, ive played an hour and not pissed my pants' haha.

Its the radio that does me. When you hear it crackle you just go proper defensive. 'Where is it?????' lol

Im playing it on the easiest setting. I have no desire to have a challenge. Im running around with over 100 ammo for my pistol and about 10 health drinks lol. Though i am barely using my weapons, saving them for boss fights. Just going round smacking shit and then kick them on the ground at least 5 times to make sure they are dead lol

Ive enjoyed the puzzles, i have that on standard setting and some of them have actually taken me some time to figure out

Where are you with it now?

I'm struggling with it.  Made it to Toluca Prison but the game is just so damn depressing, I can't bring myself to push through it.  lol

I mean the staircase down from the historical society to here was just taking it too far.  There is no sense of hope with any of it.

I'm so angry at my dayjob, my missus and any of my friends that keep me from ARC Raiders.

played it and there isn't, but there's quite a few references to some of his old music in there.

Did it silent assassin, suit only, machine gun only in the end

That's Silent Hill 2 Remake done.  I couldn't go back and do platinum on it since a single experience of slogging through the depressional nature of playing it is enough for me.

Ended up with an equally depressing ending too.  😆  The one where he takes his car into the lake and Mary's letter fades to darkness.  Wanted the Maria ending but hey ho.

Onto something more uplifting.  Lego Horizon should do the trick...🙂

Still playing Arc Raiders but i also picked up Metroid Prime 4 on Switch 2. The game that i brought the original Switch for 8 years ago lol

Loving it so far. Its standard Metroid. The bike is cool. I saw reviews complaining about the NPCs being annoying but its not that bad. People just want to find something to moan about haha

I've been playing Hades 1 and struggling once I get to the final boss. Anyone played it and have any tips, I seem to be getting hit all the time.... :/

I think the first time I won was with a shield build, possibly the one that fires beams when doing the bull rush. While charging the bullrush, the shield blocks the damage. Also, when he's doing the spinning laser beam, make sure to hide behind the rocks because they block the damage. It's always tricky though, always a chance of losing even when you know what's coming.
