He is looking better and better every game at left back.

Was thinking earlier at the game what people would refer to him as now; A striker who can play left back or A left back who can play up front?

Personally I see him as the latter after his form in the last few games and long may it continue!

You mean the latter, surely? He is an infinitely better left back than he is a striker. Been consistently brilliant in his last 4 games at left back.

His pace alone means he'll never get outpaced as a full back, so long as he gets his positioning right against the better teams he can make that position his own.

He has been good recently. His pace is obviously valuable.

I'm not sure if he's a natural full back so I'm not convinced he'll be good enough to start in the premiership. But I can't knock him at the moment. On his day he's a top attacking full back in this league.

Brilliant performance today (again) - love the way he has come back into the first eleven when we needed him and done such a great job at such a critical point in the season.

Not sure if Big Nige will put all his faith in Jeff especially as he hasn't long given Konchesky a new contract, presumably with the prem in mind....

Competition for places is healthy, I'm sure if he continues playing as well at left back then he'll only become better and more accomplished and make that position his own. Big step up for the prem though, but doesn't mean it can't be achieved. Nige and his team obviously seen someone in him at LB, looks better the more he plays there.

Not saying he's not done alright since coming in, but in my opinion I'm not convinced of him at left back, I see him as a good wide man, but he doesn't convince me defensively, but we will see when he faces stronger opposition, as the last 3 games haven't been against sides with quality front players.

He needs to focus on his defensive game because I don't think he's got a future in the second tier as a frontman.

Been great over the last four games though, it'll be interesting to see how he stands up to a sterner test at Ewood Park.

Not a bad idea to see if he can make it full time at LB. People forget, but when Ashley Cole started playing at Arsenal his positioning was awful at the start. Like Schlupp, he made up for it with Pace but he wasn't a great defender to begin with (having started in youth football up front as it happens).I'm not saying Schlupp can become an Ashley Cole but positioning can be learnt and his natural abilities - primarily strength and speed - could mean he could become useful. Will be an interesting next year or two if he gets game time.

Can you really see Konchesky playing in the prem? He would get roasted

He has played really well since he came in for Konch. but yet to be really tested defensively.

Long term I don't think he has the qualities of a full back but the experience will serve him well.

His adaptability is a real plus.

No I expect ,other than the spine, left side/back will be an area to stengthen.

He's done brilliantly filling in for Konch, at the moment I'd rather him stay at left back. His pace and strength are invaluable assets. Also noticed the lad is very good at heading the ball for somebody his size.

Prefer him on the wing personally he certainly dangerous to opposition when he attacks, but i'm not sure about his defensive duties. But saying all that he had a good game today

I think if Schlupp is to have a more successful career he needs to hang up his striking boots and concentrate on becoming an attacking full back.

His pace makes up for his lack of positioning, and with more experience at LB and he sorts out his positioning he can become a top LB with an attacking threat.

He should start aspiring to the likes of Alves and Alba and he could have a very successful career as he is still very young.
