AKCJ Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 Ings. Typical, the two most overhyped players in the league.
leicesterisme Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 That's also a massive surprise. Fairplay though, at least Ings deserves it.
Brooksy Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 We'll take the only important award this season, the title.
Soar Fox Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 I'm glad Ings won it over the very overrated Will Hughes. Shame that Liam didn't win it though, especially as he won't ever get the chance to be nominated again.
Guest ttfn Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 But yet he's still nominated for an award. So was Hughes. Completely and utterly lost by the point you're trying to make here! As for Ings I think he deserves it.
Father Ted Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 It's a shame that Danny Ings FC won't be winning the Championship though.
Danno Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 Watch him next year when he scores 1 goal and is sold to Aldershot in January.
kingfox Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 I would of gave it Ings as well tbh, like it or not you have to admit he has looked quality. Liam Moore not winning Young Player of the Year is more shocking, Hughes has done nothing special this season, he hasn't even been Derby's best midfielder.
ScouseFox Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 maybe this will stop burnley crying about us being the most favoured team in the world ever
Soar Fox Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 So was Hughes. Completely and utterly lost by the point you're trying to make here! As for Ings I think he deserves it. I don't get what point you are trying to make. I was saying that Hughes wouldn't get into our team. The only reason Liam isn't getting in our team is not because he isn't good enough but because he got injured and he's not been able to force his way back into that's sitting top of the league.

Dan Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 Oh well, the difference with Moore and Hughes is that Hughes will probably be up for this award again next year.
Father Ted Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 yeah, you scoffed at hughes winning the award because he wouldn't get into our team yet moore doesn't get into our team atm but you presumably wouldn't have scoffed at him winning it? But like he's said... Moore isn't getting into our side because Wasyl took his place after injury and you can't drop him after that. Whereas Derby have no choice to play Hughes. We have three centre midfielders better than him. Moore has been an integral part of the runaway Champions side this season. Will Hughes an average player in a side that's had a lucky run to the play offs.

But how many games has Liam played in that has contributed to us being top of the table? Well done on writing something without including the word "boss" though.
ScouseFox Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 But how many games has Liam played in that has contributed to us being top of the table? Well done on writing something without including the word "boss" though. a lot. cheers boss.
Dan Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 If the papers had chosen Moore to be linked with Barcelona for £15mil then he'd have won the award.
Soar Fox Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 If the papers had chosen Moore to be linked with Barcelona for £15mil then he'd have won the award. But but he can't even get in our team.....
Fox92 Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 If the papers had chosen Moore to be linked with Barcelona for £15mil then he'd have won the award. Exactly what I think. The media seem to admire Hughes, he gets a lot of coverage, which is probably why a lot of Premier League followers know who he is. Not saying Hughes is a bad player, he isn't. Seen him on tv a couple of times, he keeps the ball very well.
One Legged Beaver Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 "Will Hughes is one of the most creative footballers in England with 4 assists" Shameful media bumming. Gary Taylor Fletcher has that many and he's probably played a combined total of about 200 minutes
Guest Posted 17 March 2014 Posted 17 March 2014 moore was a better choice for YP and Drinky can feel annoyed for not getting the CPA. Easier to give it to a goalscorer than a midfield man though.
