Ric Flair Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Just want the season over and done with, as in I want to know NOW that we've won the league. The years of false dawns and frustration, last seasons heartbreak, 2nd chance at Forest, 3rd chance in the last minute at Watford and then snatched away from us (rightly so). I should be savouring these moments, as chances are we aren't going to witness stuff like this for a while. If and when we go up it's going to be a battle in the PL, it'll be fun and what we all strive for as a fan to see your club at the highest level but we won't see domination like this. We won't rip teams apart like we have been doing. I want to bask in this right now, I want to soak it up and really appreciate what we are being blessed with from our club. But I just want that P and then C next to our name and to get larrupsed for days celebrating. I want Schmeichel to keep going up for corners in our last match and taking the piss. It's only after this weekend that i've allowed myself to believe promotion is really going to happen, before then i've flatly refused it's a forgone conclusion. What a season. I bet my mate we were set to be relegated at the start of the year and he thought we'd go up, I told him i'd bet him any money he wanted. Luckily we agreed on £50 as otherwise i'd be in real trouble. Just get it done now Leicester and let us fans go berserk.
Buzzell Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I'm just so looking forward to gaining that 'Champions' status!
Ric Flair Posted 19 March 2014 Author Posted 19 March 2014 Set to be relegated? Fvcking hell. Hahahaa. We showed relegation form for the last 3 months of the season and the play-off heartache, the lack of transfer activity and the general doom and gloom I had blinkered me massively. I hold my hands up. I'm more than happy to cough up the fifty rats though.
Vlad the Fox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Ha ha. I know exactly how you feel. I'm doing the same sums over and over in my head, working out how few points we need for promotion and champions day after day. What I need is a time machine to take me to the end of the season so I can see we've done it then come back, light the cigars relax and enjoy the rest of the season.
C-man Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Fvck me it's a tough one to call. On one hand you want to be able to relax and take the piss for the last few weeks, watching the rest try their best to fvck things up for themselves. On the other, I wish the feeling of nervousness being replaced with going absolutely beserk every week could go on forever. It's football bliss.

Corky Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I hope the home form and entertainment is similar next year. Would love to thump West Ham, Stoke, Aston Villa next year.
LanguedocFox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Must be summat wrong with me because I want this to last forever. I sit down at around 4:00pm on a Saturday (3:00pm in the UK) after a day in the garden and tune in to Foxes Player or (if there is one) a live video feed. And I sit and enjoy. Even last week - I was a bit late and only saw the second half - when we were 1-0 down I was still savouring it, knowing we were going to score. And when the goals came, what a brilliant feeling. I know we are going to lose some time - maybe it will be against Blackburn this week - but I know we will go down fighting, and whoever beats us is going to need to work fvckin hard for the points. After years and years of disappointment, seeing us up there at the top, p1ssing all over other teams, playing with a real swagger, is just wonderful. Never want it to stop.

The 'swagger' The number of points we are ahead of third is just barmy! Best squad since MON without a doubt. Pearson, despite being over the moon with your return, then VERY unsure, you have proven the doubters wrong. I salute you sir, and all that sail under you, so to speak...
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I'm Mixed About It All Don't want this season to stop (while we are playing like we are) But Can't wait to see the P Promoted tag against our name and the C Champions tag also
Guest MattP Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I want it to go on forever, watching this standard of football every week can never get boring. Every Saturday going to the ground is a pleasure. Contrast that to the shit we were served up half the time under Sven and Sousa and this could last a lifetime for me. I'm still baffled to how anyone could think we were going to get relegated this season mind, you would have to have completely discounted 3 1/2 years of form under NP (still never outside the top 6 with a full season in charge) for the case of 6 weeks/2 months. And many people forget we actually came back pretty strong towards the end of last season as well despite that. Why would anyone do that? Let alone actually think this squad of players we had were worse than Donny, Barnsley, Yeovil, Millwall etc etc

As for Sven, I still think he did such immense damage to the club (backed by the Board) that the nature of Pearson's success is even more amazing.
Mark_from_USA Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Don't want this to be over. Leicester are probably playing football at a level that is better than all but 10-12 clubs in England just now. They are able to play an entertaining, attacking style week in and week out. They are holding their defenders and keeper up to a very high standard. The players are loose and having loads of fun. When subs come in they have to put in 100% to get even a sniff at the team. City are erasing doubts, winning fixtures they have struggled with in the past, and helping to erase memories of the past 10 years. This season, in addition to being brilliantly successful, is a catharsis. Savor it and let it do it's work! Then Leicester can enter the PL without all the baggage of the past few years. That's massive.
AKCJ Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I want this season to drag out for as long as possible. This is the best side we've ever had at this level, lets enjoy it and then welcome the PL with open arms.
ScouseFox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I would like to confirm it, batter qpr then fast forward to Everton away next yr

I was sent an email last week with the squad of players he had when he took over to the squad of players he has now. When you look at the names and realise he not only is far superior but cost far less to assemble, it really does show what he has done, an incredible job and it's mission accomplished within the contract he was given. Praying he is here next season, he must be turning some chairmans heads in the top flight.
StanSP Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 50/50. I don't want this superb season to end. Our monumental showing this season has reminded me of the O'Neill era even though I was fairly young. The broken records, the hunger and beautiful play from the players. Just the excitement of knowing we are so nearly there but not wanting the good times to (potentially) end. But on the other hand, I just want to be back in the Premier League! Show our worth as an ambitious side and I think the players/staff deserve their shot at it as soon as possible. We are so near the finish line and have done immensely well to get where we are. Fully confident we will complete the job in hand!

Vlad the Fox Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 Imagine we didn't go up, you'd have to go through it all again I could go and see Nigel, tell him what happens and he can then put it right.

I'm fine at the games, even against Blackpool at one down the team filled me with confidence for the rest of the game and season. It's in between, I can't stand waiting for the next match, I spend my time dreaming of the moment we secure promotion such as moments like Howard's winner against leeds. And in between that it's sums, and more sums.
Raj Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 about right there Flair After witnessing the watford p/off game i thought that we would really really struggle. Get it done.....i wanna see.... 1.Leicester City P asap!!
MooseBreath Posted 19 March 2014 Posted 19 March 2014 I was nervous ten games ago but I'm pretty relaxed now. Realistically now we're only going to need about 85 points to secure promotion. It's a walk in the park.

You'd love that Matt??!! PS.. just kiddin.. I hope!
