StanSP Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Would you apply that thinking to the other 6 on the bench? I know they are far more likely to play but I want players who want to be in the first 11. He may not get to play very often but personally I want a reserve goalie better than Logan. Fair enough and that's understandable. It's quite clear everyone will want to play but they just don't get mardy about it. When you take the example of King and Hammond - barely played because of the DD/James combination but when they came in vs Wigan they got 2 goals and clearly did want to play. I doubt they suffer in silence so to speak, but they may just vent their concerns in private, which is how it should be. This is me just suggesting that they have concerns, mind!
Devonfox1884 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 St. Ledger gets next to nothing then I Don't count 12-18k as 'next to nothing' tbh.
sylofox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 6k This season will probably be 10k next season if we stop up. Logan will probably rip up his contract and be happy with 10k for nothing each week lol
Beliall Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I have a pair of Conrads gloves given to my son after Richie Wellens knocked my son off his seat with a warm up shot at Bristol City,he is a top man and fair play to him for his loyalty to LCFC. Still in the wrapper?
indierich06 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I was merely asking a question, not making a statement,so to answer my question, would u mind paying more or not I will expect to pay considerably more next season, and I'll have no problem with that as it's understandable that Premier League football is a bigger draw for fans. I don't think bonuses or wages or anything like that would even come into how the club puts together the ticket pricing structure.
Happy Fox Posted 11 April 2014 Author Posted 11 April 2014 250 Grand for Kasper James Nurseyâ€@JamesNursey51 mins Also got a piece on #LCFC in Mirror about their new £30k a week wage cap & £5m promotion bonus kitty of which Schmeichel to take home £250k James Nurseyâ€@JamesNursey51 mins Schmeichel earns biggest bonus at Leicester as played in every league game which means he is entitled to £250k so i am told out of £5m kitty
StanSP Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Hasn't Morgan played in every game aswell? Or Nuge? I thought we had 2 ever-presents in the squad who has played a part in every game?
kingcarr21 Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Based on Schmeichels bonus Conrad Logan is receiving a Dime Bar and a Carton of Um Bongo
Corky Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 Legend. Imagine if he was named "Gallagher" though. Would he still get an easy ride?
65RosesFox Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 It might be in our best interests to keep him on. You won't find many like Conrad, who are happy to sit on the bench and only ever come in to the side at the last resort. We could find a new 'back-up' goalkeeper but it won't take that long for them to pipe up about not being played. The fact we can't bring a loan keeper if Kasper gets injured first game of the season and is out for 6 months means we would have to rely on Conrad until January transfer window. I know it's worse case scenario but I would not to take that risk with Logan as my back up. I'd prefer Wasyl in goal, I could see him being similar to the Monk from Mean Machine. Conrad ah well he's been a decent servant to the club, and he's probably on pennies compared to the rest of them. Filbert Fox has been a better servant to the club than Conrad. He could be the nicest guy in the world but he's had no impact on any of Leicester's success in my opinion!

I see what you're saying but I presume we'd go out to buy someone if that was the case. Why could we not loan someone in either?
Stadt Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 I'd hate any other back up keeper for not being Conrad
65RosesFox Posted 11 April 2014 Posted 11 April 2014 I see what you're saying but I presume we'd go out to buy someone if that was the case. Why could we not loan someone in either? Once transfer window shuts that's it, no loan signings in for Premier League teams. So my previous statement was slightly incorrect as transfer window shuts end of August, but you know what I mean. You can loan out to lower league clubs during the season, but unless the FA on the very rare occasion agree an emergency loan, you can't do anything until January. I'd be very surprised if we didn't get a veteran in who is capable of being a back up with Prem experience, someone like Friedel.
