SK1 - Thank You!

I see there's a thread on atmosphere last night, but I just want to say a personal thank you to most of the fans in SK1 (and it seems SK2) last night, where I sat for the first time (1st time sat there, been to too many games at filbo and walkers/kp to count) because it was my nephew's first football game and I'm sure if he had seen us lose 4-1 AND had the kind of atmosphere such a performance would generate in other parts of the ground, I'm sure he wouldn't have wanted to come again (as it was, I told him I'm never taking him again - he's obviously bad luck! :P) but as it was, he really enjoyed himself, so BIG THANKS! (You never stopped singing and I was too for most of the match.)

I did too, more than when we win 2-1 and surrounded by moaners who never chant or even shout, even when we score, in the East or West Stands. I'm thinking that in future, for the 4-5 games I can usually get to each season, I'll be migrating to SK1.

Well said Trav

Completely agree, the people saying SK1 isn't great seem to have been expecting it to instantly be electric. Considering there's only really a few hundred people up there, the noise is pretty loud. It's about how it progresses. If it just draws a few more people, like myself yesterday, each game then hopefully this time next season it will be amazing and help to spread chants across the whole kop!

SK1 definitely getting better and have always managed to finish song/chant unlike L1 who most of the time never do. Although I sit closer to L1 they were the quieter, SK1 did us proud last night!

Yes I agree that area was poor last night considering, but come on it was a first time since the ground opened it was better in sk1

Very impressed over on the Brighton forum. One poster wondering why they can't make even half the atmosphere at the Amex that was generated at Freemen's Wharf last night. First time that I couldn't hear the PHG due to the racket in SK2.

It's gonna be a slow process but it has to start somewhere. We are at the back of SK2 and have been for 4 years but we are moving our ST to SK1 next season.

I'd urge anyone else who wants to sing without the attention of the Police/ stewards that L1 attracts to come over to us.

That includes any new fans that we will aquire now, get up to the back and sing your hearts out for the boys.

I thought it was a great effort

More to the point we should be pulling together now as fans, as long as the ground gets a better atmosphere who gives a fook where the ones creating the atmosphere actually sit/stand

Surely the point is we all support Leicester and want the best possible atmosphere to cheer the boys on

Well done SK1 re last night

I think it'd be great for the atmosphere down the KP if SK1 and L1 formed some sort of chant that went back and forth.

That kind of chant gets a bit of a competition going, generally gets louder and involves more people that probably wouldn't have started singing before.
