Unabomber Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 I see it doesn't make sense now lol It's a shame cos it was a funny scenario, it also makes the soup nazi seem a bit insane.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 I think it'd be great for the atmosphere down the KP if SK1 and L1 formed some sort of chant that went back and forth. That kind of chant gets a bit of a competition going, generally gets louder and involves more people that probably wouldn't have started singing before. I get the gist of what you are saying errm errrm gist In all honesty good idea
AndWhat? Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 No one is ever going to know what you are laughing at Most frustrating thing to happen to me today.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 Really impressed by the kop last night. Last ten minutes they were brilliant across the stand from what I could see, great stuff!
Soup Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 It's a shame cos it was a funny scenario, it also makes the soup nazi seem a bit insane. A bit insane, that's a complement trust me.
Voll Blau Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 They call us "The postmen" BECAUSE WE ALWAYS ****ING DELIVER Probably not the thing to say until we've had the whole block up and running on a consistent basis for a season or more. Pride comes before a fall.
Langley Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 Does it matter who was louder Your girlfriend said she was with me 😉
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 Sang our hearts out for 80mins before everyone else joined in, had some good chants going too. Not the biggest right side/left side fan but was a good laugh last night and met some sound family of London Foxes. So many plastic fans anyone would have thought Sam Bailey was performing.
lee7 Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 Like the original poster it was my first match in SK1 this season (although I was stood at the back) I've sat in other blocks this season and not one has came close to replicating the constant noise that the top of SK1 produce. I've only been to 7/8 games this season due to having two baby's so going down every week is not possible but for me from now on this is where I'll always get my match ticket if possible. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere that was created last night even if it was only a small group of us contributing for large periods! Hopefully it can carry on doing well and progress to bigger and better things. It certainly made last nights match that much more enjoyable.

Jakemoore Posted 9 April 2014 Posted 9 April 2014 I'm so proud to have been a part of the SK1 clan last night! My voice is in bits today! Bring on donnie, I'll be back up the M1 for another sing song in SK1 (rhymes) ☺ï¸

Unless it's a huge coincidence, that was my family! We had a great time, see you in a few weeks for another party â˜ºï¸ I'll bring my vocal brother next time to
chop58 Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 my season ticket is in N1, once or twice every game the kop used to get in full voice and I used to think to myself, what potential the kop has, then this idea came about for a singing section in SK1, I thought this is it, my thinking was justified because the noise that was generated for the last 10 minutes on Tuesday across the whole of the kop was unreal, I've relocated every game now since Charlton and for all you older ones who worry about the age band In SK1 I am 55 but I don't give a fcuk. I just want to see the KP rock, but I must admit I feel totally knackered after every game now

But this is absolutely brilliant and not sure its been used elswhere?
C-man Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 Again, I know I always use Celtic.... But this is absolutely brilliant and not sure its been used elswhere? Have you missed it being sung every game in SK1 this season? Personally hate everything to do with Celtic and hate the thought of becoming their tribute act. We have more than enough traditional songs to be getting on with whilst we come up with some great, unique to Leicester additions that we can do properly.

Hello mate ;-)
Jakemoore Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 To get SK1/2 to chant this with L1/K1 we could adjust it a tad....kop sing "L1 (L1) K1 (K1) leicester all unite (leicester all unite) dah dah dah etc etc" With L1 and K1 replying "Spion Kop (Spion Kop) Spion Kop (Spion Kop) leicester all unite (leicester all unite) dah dah etc" or they could just say leicesters blue and white.. Just an idea! Would be epic though

Hate the idea of becoming anyone's tribute act personally, not just Celtic's.

cityfanlee23 Posted 10 April 2014 Posted 10 April 2014 Well we need something! The majority of songs we sign arent our own anyway.. most of our own, the younger lads don't even know! so we end up with the same old...

It baffles me in the social media age that we can't pass the songs down a generation. I learnt by going and listening, what it says about a lot of the current youngsters that they can't seem to read a song on the Internet and learn how to sing it I have no idea.
