bovril Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Why do you never see a good looking feminist either? It's clearly a political viewpoint that comes from a consequence of being shunned by men for years. Take your revenge by grabbing your dungarees, throw away your razor and shower and spout guff like this. Yeah you do. Plenty of keffiyeh-wearing commie-type feminist hotties on mainland Europe. If you can get past the iffy politics they're great fun.

leicsmac Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Because I'm saying it's a consequence of the way she looks that may have led her to these views, we've all seen the classic pictures of the ugly feminist holding a sign saying "don't objectify women" stood next to load of stunners who don't mind taking their kit off for a few bob. Works both ways as well, you get these sick men who think women are objects, getting off on extreme porn and we should be able to do as we please from them, they probably hold the same insecurities just the other way around. No disagreement there. The very basis of equality should be for people to be able to act equally so if a lady (or a bloke) wants to be objectified by taking their clothes off for a wedge of cash that should be their own business and no one elses. My beef tends to be more about the ingrained gender roles that are a part of life here though - like a woman choosing career over kids getting criticised or a father choosing to stay at home with his kids rather than work. They both cop flak, when it's their choice to make and no one elses business.
Strokes Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 So long as we all agree, women should be allowed to take their clothes off, as and when they please (the more frequent the better). What was the thread about again?

What was the thread about again? I'm not sure, but at some point the jobless, homeless, unemployed and benefits will get a mention.
Parafox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 She's jealous because she got turned down for a job in Hooters. Also nice to see the girls coming out with their jugs in their hands.
Merging Cultures Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 One business idea I have is to open a men's hairdressers that has the same staffing policy as hooters. I think we'd all pay a premium to have a nice head massage by one of these ladies.

Smudge Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 The one on the left looks like a bloke in drag. Those thighs would crack you like a walnut.
Parafox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 The one on the left looks like a bloke in drag. Those thighs would crack you like a walnut. And the woman with the sign doesn't????
Smudge Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 And the woman with the sign doesn't???? Yep but I wasn't really taking any notice of her
Merging Cultures Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 And the woman with the sign doesn't???? What woman with the sign?
Guest MattP Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Yep but I wasn't really taking any notice of her lol Best line of the thread by a mile!
Merging Cultures Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Plenty of them already about if you know where to go. Not here
Parafox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 I've met a number of lesbian women. I'm not sure if they were lesbian before that, though

Guest MattP Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Victoria Coren is alright. That's a pretty liberal interpretation of a feminist. I like her actually, comes across lovely when she's on TV.
Parafox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 That's a pretty liberal interpretation of a feminist. I like her actually, comes across lovely when she's on TV. Don't you think, though, that if asked, the majority of women would say they are feminists. Therefore, that must include a proprtion of attractive women. Granted they probably aren't actively involved in feminism in it's most fundamental meaning. Politically active feminists do tend to be a rather plain but isn't that the nature of the beast rather than a defining factor in their beliefs?

People like this article writer, Jack Munroe, you can even whack Hope Powell in after her "the England womens side could beat the mens" comment, the ones who make absolutely outlandish statements that are so ridiculous they shouldn't be treated with any respect. The people who live in a World devoid of any reality. I think most normal feminists like Coren would cringe at the comments as much as the men. I would add Laurie Penny to the list but I'm still to this day convinced it's that little queen Owen Jones in drag.
Finnegan Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Admit it, Matt, you'd take a run at Germaine Greer. Phwoar.
Guest MattP Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Admit it, Matt, you'd take a run at Germaine Greer. Phwoar. I would tell a story about a night in Bristol a few years back with a studenty uni going feminist type but too many people who read this board know who I am now. She couldn't get more stereotypical, dreadlocks, spliff smoking and had actually just came out of a Levellers concert.
Nick Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 No culturally sexist gender stereotypes in this thread then. Manjoo clearly mistaken
