Mack Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 With only 1 home game to go I am guessing the Season ticket prices for next season will be announced in the programme for the Doncaster match. I'm expecting something around a 30-35% price increase. Any thoughts?
LJS Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I'm expecting a freeze for existing season ticket holders. It's an increase in real terms due to a reduction in home matches. That said, I'm renewing anyway unless they absolutely take the piss and double prices or something. Although even then it's affordable for me.... In terms of timing, like you, I'd expect something ahead of the Donny match. It was before Watford last season which was the last regular home game and, I think, before West Ham the season before which was also the final home game. Happy to be corrected.

I think you need to look at other Premier league team's ticket prices also, and you will see an increase is on the cards for everyone, and not a small one in my opinion. And lets face it, we'll almost all pay.
LJS Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Don't get me wrong, I don't rule an increase out and I imagine there will be a substantial one for new holders. I just have a sneaking feeling that they will throw existing ST holders a bone. We'll see. And you're right, we'll go regardless.
Leicester Lass Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I think 30-35% increase is way off the mark. I know disabled tickets have only been put up by 3%. I'm expecting a small increase, if any, for current STH. I think anything above 10% would be insulting.
Guest Bilo Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I can see matchday tickets being expensive, but the club won't want to annoy ST holders too much. A 10% price rise with enticing offers methinks. Matchday tickets against Liverpool, Man City et al to cost the equivalent of one human kidney.
sly1 Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I'm hearing price freeze for us Sth but 40% on the new ones up the foxes
TheLeftSide Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I think around 10% would be fair to current season ticker holders, I'd imagine about 30% for new season ticket holders.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 30-40% for new STHs? at my mates who didn't get one last (this) season
Matt Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I reckon it should be a freeze for existing STH and a huge increase for the plastics jumping on the bandwagon, the huge increase includes ticket prices for next season too, it's only fair isn't it?! I'm being a WUM to start all the insecure people off who feel they are being slagged off, calm down, stop being so paranoid.
Filbert_Ross Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 It should be a price freeze for new season tickets and 40% reduction for current ones.
Ashley Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Price freeze I've been told and I think I was the one who originally put it on here however new STH will pay silly money. However going back to my original point of a 'price feeze' we are actually paying more as we lose 4 games next season.

It's the best we could ask for and expect though, they are never going to reduce the prices, never.
Rushden fox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I live in essex and haven't had a season ticket 4 6 years so 30-40% increase is fine with me as we are premier league. I am moving back to Northampton so I can be there for the boys next season...... As a supporter for thirty years plus....that's all that matters to me. For those of you thinking plastic support..I enjoyed my ticket for the Arthur Rowley lounge with my directors box seats for the QPR game... It's not what you know, it's who you know

cardifflee Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Why are the current STH so bitter about new STH? I was a STH for around 15 years season after season when we were shit, remember those days? Grow up yes we are gonna get the plastics in next season, and????? Every team has them. I would rather an extra 10,000 plastics and fill the KP than the 20,0000 we had most of this season. STH are nothing special, it just means we pay up front and go to most matches well done you. Embrace the PL and I want 32,000+ cheering on the boys in blue plastic or not.
jammie82uk Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 If it is a 10% rise as rumoured for current STH based on 4 less games next season it actually equates to a near 30% price rise overall

I'm being a WUM to start all the insecure people off who feel they are being slagged off, calm down, stop being so paranoid. Just seen your message in the white On a serious note though, I'm a current STH and think that a headline price freeze (and thus a slight increase in the price-per-game) is about the best we can expect. It would also go down quite well in PR terms I'm sure. Whether it happens is another question. Think everyone is pretty much resigned to the probability of high matchday ticket prices though, especially for the bigger sides. At the bottom of this article there's a day for the 2013/14 PL season, with season ticket prices by club: http://www.theguardian.com/news/datablog/2013/jun/19/premier-league-ticket-prices-club-charge-the-most
Rushden fox Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 Iv heard the prawn sandwiches are to die for They were tuna..but nice anyway..the wags were nicer....one of our players has a very fit chick...unless it was Pearsons daughter
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 I'll be highly surprised if I get any change from £500 for my renewal in L1. I'll also be a bit surprised if these rumours of there being a significant difference between renewals and new buyers. £100 would be very surprising, I think the difference was about £50 last season. - and bear in mind that if the new prices are took up by £100 (so to around £550) and the renewals frozen at around £420 then that's only around a 25% increase.

Wrighty22 Posted 21 April 2014 Posted 21 April 2014 'Plastics' or not, as long as the support is there for the team. All these comments about hoping the club put a huge increase on new STH are ridiculous. You don't own the club or dictate who can or who can't support the club and watch games. Not everyone can attend all games due to other commitments or financial reasons. The club would be stupid the raise prices significantly. For a start a huge increase will put off a lot of current STH, new STH and potential single match day ticket purchasers. It's not like the club need the money, they should have replicated what Derby have done. End of the day, we are all fans of this club.
