Number 6 Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 Think we need to stop the "my cock's bigger than your cock" nature of this thread. All a bit pointless. Just wait for the announcement.
jammie82uk Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I think you might of slightly missed the sarcasm in that post
Rocky Dennis Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I think you might of slightly missed the sarcasm in that post guilty as charged
jammie82uk Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I'm amazed this still hasn't been announced..........I said this before in the original STH thread that was locked in the ticket section and will say it againI still don't understand what the rush is for It Doesn't matter if they're announced tomorrow or in a months time It's not gonna change anything, people who are going to buy one will still buy one, People who are going to renew will still renew You won't be able to use it any quicker
65RosesFox Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I really don't understand all this talk about increasing prices for new STH's. We get the chance to renew our ST seats before they go on general sale so there is no risk of a new STH stealing your seat. So why are some of our fans so selfish and want a fan of the same club having to spend more on a ST just because this may be their first time. At the end of the day it's a lot to fork out, so clearly they are Leicester supporters.

But we've always had some kind of "early bird" offer for renewals (i.e. a higher price for new STHs) so why should next season be different? Idealogically though I strongly feel the prices are way to high but that's life I guess...
blue army 1988 Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 Theres no rush. Chill people and just enjoy the moment.
jetjock Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I hear they'll be released today . Freeze for STH , bit of a hike for new STH
Bayfox Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 From a pure marketing point of view, they'd be mad not to announce them on saturday, with a full house and everyone in party mood. Just so long as the result isn't similar to the Brighton game. But a captive audience would be the best time to get peoples attention.

The early bird is not in question, you can still have the early bird for existing ST holders during the time they get to confirm they still want a ticket and the same seat but when that's over prices should be the same for everyone.
Burmesefox Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I'd believe that if people weren't chucking out figures of 30 to 50% hence my holier than thou comment. Do these people not realise that in amongst those so called 'new' fans there will be plenty that have been going for years but may now need to get a ST, probably at a loss just to be sure of seeing some of the games. They'll also be genuine newbies going to their first ever games just like they did in the past. Blokes who've not been able to go due to having young children but who are now ready to take their kids or move them out of the family stand. Just makes me angry that people are so selfish and up themselves. good point. I've been going since 1981 but took a few years out from having a season ticket when my first was born as I couldn't attend attend every week as I also worked weekends. Being young single and without commitments it's very easy to be holier than thou. many kids are intense fans for a few seasons then fizzle out. many oldies have been fans for years attending more like 10 games a season - who is the better fan? It's subjective. Fans have to start somewhere, so I welcome new fans that the prem will bring - some will be plastics but others will stay for life. Bring it on is all I can say.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 guilty as charged Unfortunately there are a few ST's on here that would think it's the way forward
Tommy G Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I'm in the process of moving house and have to write a chq for stamp duty and solicitors fees for the best part of 3 grand next week so I hope they do the DD scheme! Skint They dont charge for it do they?

Skint They dont charge for it do they? They have to offer a payment by instalments option under Premier League rules. There's been no DD charge for the previous few seasons so imagine it'll be the same again.

Just makes me angry that people are so selfish and up themselves. This 5 of us have shared 3 sts for the last 10 years, as we're now in the PL we'll all want to go regularly and need to buy a season ticket each. I have a 9 year old in tow and we live in London, so we'll be forking out for STs but have no chance of getting to a lot of games due to train times. I certainly don't want to be forking out £600 or so and then only get to 12 games. Keep the prices at a reasonable level and we could have 30k a week.
Illusion35 Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I had a season ticket for years before having my family, have held off season tickets due to my son not being quite old enough for night matches, so I felt it would be better value to just buy match tickets for a few seasons. Just added up all the games I've been to this season though, and it is more than a season ticket would have been! So we will be getting season tickets for next season unless they are horrifically more expensive. And we would have if we were still in the championship as my son moves to secondary school in August and I always said he could do night games then. And it should be cheaper than what I've spent this season on every weekend home game (plus a few midweeks I gave in on, man city, Brighton...!) Don't think I'm a glory hunter or deserve to pay way more than current STH's. I think current STH's should get their chance to claim current seats at a discount during the usual 'early bird' time, then all prices should be the same. Oh unless they want to do a discount for extensive booking history !
sdb Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 I'm struggling to disagree with that actually - providing there's any increase. i've probably bought 70% of my tickets on the gate! I've easily ordered 10+ online but not sure i have a 'booking history'. When I last went on it said I had '0 points' and i must have bought 30-40 online over the last few years. hmm

Club will have a record of your purchase history.

Bobby Hundreds Posted 29 April 2014 Posted 29 April 2014 50% decrease if you have any of the letters P L A S T I or C in your name.
Alf Bentley Posted 30 April 2014 Posted 30 April 2014 50% decrease if you have any of the letters P L A S T I or C in your name. Big increase in Serbian season ticket holders next season, then.
