cecchini Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Glorious it is to be crowned champions, no discussion. But let's end this season with 102 points. No more hangovers until May 4 please!
jonthefox Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Nah fug it. Play conrad in goal and Kasper up front.
Mack Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 It doesn't matter now. And that freedom given to this team could create an 'inverted Brighton'
Fox92 Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Well I'd like us to get 100(+) points so in a way it does matter. But at least we can watch the last two games without any pressure on us, haven't done that for a while now.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 The job is done now, up to the players but at their age I would get shit faced beyond shit faced last night - getting 100+ would be great though
Larry_LCFC Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 I agree with the op. We are still paying to watch them and I still expect a champions performance.
Simmo86 Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 All about getting 100+ points now and 31 wins in a season.
Ade's Left Foot Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 The job is done, 100+ points would be nice, but not essential. The only priority i'd have in the remaining fixtures is to involve some of the academy lads
Socks Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 I want 100+ points too But I think Nige will play some fringe players tbh Dont blame him either, were Champs & promoted !!!
blueonyou Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 They can lose 10 - 0 twice now for all I or anyone else should care. Anyone who comes on here to criticize or moans in the stands these last two games if we lose or play badly need to find another club to support.
kingcarr21 Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Jobs done now so personally i couldnt care less what we do in these last 2 games. Obviously wins would be great but if we lose fvck it lets party anyway
Itsthejoeker Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 If they're still hungover by saturday they need to get out on the town more!
Corky Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Not sure Huddersfield will be a great game, for Doncaster we'll play our strongest team to go out with a bang and for the other strugglers to remain professional.
Finnaldo Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Reckon we'll get a win at Huddersfield and a 2-2 draw with Doncaster, they stay up, we get exactly 100 points and it's a party for everyone.
Leicesterpool Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 I think cause of the incident last week, I won't surprised if Nigel as told them "No Celebrations until after doncaster"
rubicon Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Stick some youngsters in for the Town game. I'm hoping we do as we have nothing to play for but pride either, and most of our fans want to see Robins give them more than 10 minutes when we're losing 1-0. I think it could genuinely then be a really good game 3-2 3-4 either way. I'd expect you to be full strength against Donny anyway as they're still involved with relegation, and it's not fair to other teams otherwise. I can see that being the likely dour match if they still need points. They're a big physical team, won't call them dirty but wasn't impressed on the two occasions I've seen them this year. Considering their size, you'll be amazed at how often Dickov has them falling over, tying their boot laces, slow walk for substitution etc. The guy knows all the tricks.
cecchini Posted 24 April 2014 Author Posted 24 April 2014 Its all about professionalism. We must win both games and deliver 100% performance. Not concerned if Pearson gives younger players a chance but 100% effort. Performance against Brighton was embarrassing. I expect us to win against Huddersfield and Donny (although given our last match against them I'm not so sure, Dickov is after all, an ex-leicester man) These are professional footballers earning thousands per week. The mindset of 100% effort 100% of the time is key to a successful Premiership campaign.

I want them to win, and I want them to want to win but if they don't for whatever reason (hungover, demob happy, kids getting a run out, Schmeichel trying to do a Worthington juggle from his own corner flag etc) then that's fine. We're the freaking champions. Let them bask in our glory and admiration for everything they've achieved...
cecchini Posted 24 April 2014 Author Posted 24 April 2014 With that kind of attitude we will never be more than a yo-yo team. Success is about application, focus and performance. Its about delivering on expectations. Pearson has developed a strong culture of effort and teamwork to deliver success, how many times have we rescued a draw from the jaws of defeat by continuing to apply pressure and effort even at the death. Thats why we are champions - and you want to change that? They can spend all summer basking in glory and feeling good about their achievements. We will even fete them with a ticker tape parade in the city - they deserve it. After the the end of the last game of the season.
WhispyWizard Posted 24 April 2014 Posted 24 April 2014 Would be interesting to see if people leave in droves again if we are 4-0 down after 85 mins ....
cecchini Posted 24 April 2014 Author Posted 24 April 2014 see even Kasper agrees with me! http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/240414-schmeichel-play-like-champions-1507446.aspx?
