Cunningfox Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 TBF I'm pretty sure this is the game where the streaker's clothes were set fire to in the stand and there was a huge pitch invasion. So not exactly without incident.
Vlad the Fox Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 TBF I'm pretty sure this is the game where the streaker's clothes were set fire to in the stand and there was a huge pitch invasion. So not exactly without incident. Not quite the rampaging hordes of Leicester fans tearing the town apart that they were expecting and reporting on the week before the game though. The town literally closed down.
WhispyWizard Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 Trouble? There will be no trouble. They will just stand around the pitch to try and deter people from going onto the pitch. I'd love to get on the pitch, see what it's like to stand on the same turf as some world class will be playing on next season, then get off and enjoy the trophy! This is the most sensible answer on a thread that has already spanned 7 pages. Im going to the match, i wont be going on the pitch because im up in the nosebleeds and im really lazy, but i don't mind if its how others want to celebrate our most successful 2nd tier season in our history and i will flip my shit if anyone around me boos them for doing it!
stripeyfox Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 I won't be going on the pitch as I'll have my 6 year old son with me and a) don't think it would be appropriate for us to do so and b) would be worried about "losing" him in the chaos. No problem with anyone else doing it AS LONG as they return (more or less) to where they were afterwards and don't retire back to gangways/pitchside and disrupt everyone's view of the presentation
tomtom Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 Any adult that wants to go run around a football pitch after a match needs to grow up. Plus its not allowed...not sure which part of that is hard to understand? Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk Who the **** are you telling people to grow up if they want to go on the pitch?Did the thousands on the pitch against Oxford and Spurs all need to grow up too? Or were they thousands of people just enjoying themselves? And as for it being "not allowed" nor is standing at football, do you want everybody to sit down too?
Marmite Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 If everyone goes on I will take my son on to experience it but not that fussed either way if I am honest. I will be going on at half time regardless when my brother is presented with his cheque for Text Ellis so at least I cannot get banned

If the club say its OK then that's different...as with standing.

tomtom Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 I'm not even saying Everyone should go on the pitch, just that if the chance arises and you want to then fair play, go on and enjoy yourselves! I went on against Oxford and Spurs and they were really special moments so I'm all for some of the younger fans gaining moments like I've experienced

1964FOX Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 If there's an invasion I will be straight on as it will give me an opportunity to run across the pitch out the family stand emergency exit and get back to the pub quick as a full house usually causes awful delays in the exit stairwells.
65RosesFox Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 I once saw a guy break his leg celebrating a goal on the old Holte End at Villa Park. Quite nasty, but he was a Villa fan, so I didn't mind too much. So you don't have to go on to the pitch to break a leg... Maybe this explains the lack of goals Villa score at home nowadays. For health and safety reasons.

Matt Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Are we having one if and when we actually win a game?
Unabomber Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Are we having one if and when we actually win a game? Yeah let's invade the pitch and get a points deduction and end up bottom of the table.
Unabomber Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 We are bottom anyway!!! I know mate. That was the joke.
The Blue Moon Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 I seem to remember there were some morons on here back in April who were genuinely warning that a pitch invasion could lead to a points deduction!
