LCFC FOX Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 One pitch invasion, one leg break.... I see a trend. Yet no one has been hurt at any other clubs pitch invasions. So its 1 ANKLE break in about 10 so far. Also I bet if you asked the guy he would be straight back on the pitch when his leg is fixed

stripeyfox Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 I once saw a guy break his leg celebrating a goal on the old Holte End at Villa Park. Quite nasty, but he was a Villa fan, so I didn't mind too much. So you don't have to go on to the pitch to break a leg...

I'd bet you'll see him on the pitch this saturday given the chance.
Kitchandro Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 I can remember years ago we took about 9000 to peterborough. It was like the Wild West when we rode into town, women scarpered shops and bars hurriedly slammed down their shutters as tumble weed blew across the road in front of us. Anyway, apart from a couple of streakers the day went without incident (we lost) until the final whistle, as the city fans crammed in half the ground turned to leave, mounted police rode onto the pitch like the cavalry followed by riot police and dog handlers. Because of this all the city fans stopped turned round and stayed in the ground giving abuse to the police for a complete and utter over reaction, after a while the tanoy announced that if we didn't leave the trains would all go without us. How we laughed at that, they had been shit scared of us coming, all week the news was filled with story's of business owners saying they were closing for the day, so to think that we believed they were going to leave thousands of Leicester fans stranded in peterborough was a complete joke. I think the events that surrounded that fixture made peterborough the most tin pot club we have ever come up against for me. TBF I'm pretty sure this is the game where the streaker's clothes were set fire to in the stand and there was a huge pitch invasion. So not exactly without incident.

I'd love to get on the pitch, see what it's like to stand on the same turf as some world class will be playing on next season, then get off and enjoy the trophy!
